They represent the different communities and the different social strata of Hong Kong - from street people to tycoons, from expatriates to the new Chinese administrators. In so doing we make this a personalised story instead of a political one. By getting to know these we understand the impact of the transition on a human scale. -

Love Hong Kong such a special place to spend time . We were just there before the pandemic on our two months trip in asia. It's changed a lot since the brits left and standards and freedom has dropped. Still. I want to return 😫.

All the ex British colonial traps has been cleared for the next pure dictatorship colonial power in full blown.
So happy to see that. China has mercy to Hong Kong. They took over back from the British. Left the No fairness, no freedom, no speech to speak of the British Hong Kong colonial government. Britain never gave Hong Kong freedom, and never gave me the right to choose a governor. , I was 17 years old when Hong Kong on returned to the PRC, and I remember everything very clearly how British treated on Hongkongers.

Britain never let you choose a Governor because your friends in Beijing expressly forbid it. In fact they advised the British prior to 1997 that if the British did give Hong Kong citizens any form of democracy they would invade and take Hong Kong back prior to 1997.....
