This guy talks about Jademan comics with such disdain. He might want to check his facts. The four launch titles were Oriental Heroes, Blood Sword, Force of Buddha's Palm and Drunken Fist.

As a 90s kid, I used to read a lot of Hong Kong wuxia comics. A lot of the art in those comics are referenced to his art style. Those comics shaped my love to Kung Fu and wuxia movies

Will any of the Jademan Comics or Jade Dynasty ever come to Comixology? Will they ever sell collected editions? Or omnibus?

Im basically the same as most who bought those comics in the early 90's in my teens. I absolutely love them, ( as you can tell even my youtube name has Tiger wongs kung fu style in it ! ) the story, the over the top kung fu styles , the modern to ancient periods they had like Iron Marshall to Oriental heroes, i only wish they would do some kind of translation to those manhuas in english again, even if its off some comic book app. I still hope even though its a slim chance of that ever happening.

Was waiting for Batman Hong Kong to be mentioned actually. Nice video nevertheless, to be honest as a Malaysian manhua fan I never really knew that the comics left such a presence in America. Over here the 3 celebrated giants are Tony, Ma and Wan Yat Leung from Ocean. Am a huge fan of the third, but i believe its comics never really made it in America

I have nothing but the greatest respect and admiration for Tony Wong. Particularly for his expressions that you call "homophobic".

THERE WAS NO "JADEMAN" COMIC. It was a sampler, not a story. It even says so on the damned cover. Telling people to "read" and to "learn to spell" is a little hypocritical. And he isn't a "homophobe". It was 1988, and that was (unfortunately) how many people thought and talked. It isn't right, but pitching modern morality to a 40+ year old comic is sort of futile, and it comes off as a little too self+righteous. He was trying to add gritty realism to the a new audience, since action films were loved both HK and the WEST, and the Little Rascals would have NEVER survived here....even today. Wong felt he would have better success in the West if he able to give them an 80's/90's makeover........and in many ways it works and Tony succeeded. Tony even addressed the script in the following issue. also, I don't believe it's necessarily homophobic to not want to have someone stick their fingers in your posterior. I don't think anybody would just want that to happen randomly. As far as him mentioning the issue even more so, one of the main side characters early on in the reboot was a gay man who had AIDS and was in prison with the protagonist. He was wrongfully accused of a crime he didn't commit, and was an excellent martial artist that helped out the protagonist and did not adhere to stereotypes. It may not have been the best way to make an edgy character or address the issue at hand, but for a Chinese comic that centered on fast-paced action oh, that was a pretty intriguing scenario. Plus, that's a hard subject to approach on its own simply because we really didn't know much about it at the time. Again. Sure it could have been handled better, but I think most readers got the gist of it. Lots to look into, my friend.....at least before you make a video and get that sweet, sweet sjw money.. Man.....this guy was a hero to me when I was nine or ten years old! Jademan comics forever!! But.....I doubt it could have been today though....at least not as being commercially viable as it was/could have been.l But yeah dude. Cut back on the humor. We need more info..... ESPECIALLY on this subject. I know this seems like a cheesy subject, but Oriental Heroes, The Blood Sword, Drunken Fist, Buddha's Palm, and MANY others were very influential outside of HK. Tony even did a Batman HK comic crossover that was pretty damn good. I suggest hunting it down. Hell.......I may even send you my doubles of these comics........just to show you how good these comics really are.. he did some Image titles to

My lord, this may be the most annoying KZread person I’ve ever seen...I appreciate the info contained but nobody should want to be Talk Soup this bad. Jesus. That Little Rascals tangent...good gravy. Also, the way you dish on the assistant system is somewhat valid but very much the way manga is made even now. He says he was Tezuka inspired...so that’s what train he’s going to be on.

Now I can finally get it why his ‘drawing’ always changing everytime he ‘relaunches’ his comic. 3 REAL artists for each of 3 comics - Little Rascals, Oriental Heroes and Tiger Dragon Gates. I now completely lost my respect for Tony Wong!
