The reason why Sin-Yu fell in love with Hong-Jo was because she listened to him. If you noticed the series, Hong-Jo knows much more about him than Sin-Yu does to her. The father does not listen, and the girlfriend does not either. No matter what he says to her that he needs a break, or a space she still insists on going to his place and wants to decorate his house and propose a marriage The same goes for his best friend but his mom. His mother listens to him and they have a good relationship. He saw that with Hong-Jo. She is not that smart but naive in a sense of sweetness like his mom. Sin-Yu has everything in life, looks, money, and is highly educated. He did not want to have a woman who looked like a model, known in society, or at the same level as he was. He has all the above. He needs Hong-Jo, a simple woman who makes his heartbeat fast, makes him happy, and makes him smile and cry/sad when she is sad. That is love and they are destined to be.

I really love the chemistry they have with each other and they're super cute together! But there's one thing which I'm really frustrated with which is why isn't Shin Yu breaking up with Na Yeon when he obviously doesn't have any feelings for her anymore? If he's just staying with her for guilt and whatnot then I think he shouldn't be confusing Hong Jo until he has officially broken up because that is still considered cheating. Even if Na Yeon cheated first, Shin Yu should still settle his relationship with her before going to Hong Jo so that she doesn't feel like a third party. He already knows that his feelings for Hong Jo are real by now so I don't understand why can't he firmly break up with Na Yeon. It's good that their past lives backstory arc is starting in the recent episodes, however I really don't see the need for the writer to drag this love triangle/square anymore when there are only six more episodes left till the drama ends. I think most viewers would prefer to see more of their official dating phase compared to seeing Na Yeon shamelessly clinging on to him everytime.
