Honeywell Home T9 Wi-Fi thermostat | Install and Setup | Remodelaholic

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Today I am adding a new device to my smart home. I am adding a Honeywell Wi-Fi thermostat to our home. I will show you how to install it and set it up to be able to control the temperature with your iPhone or Android.
My wife is pregnant and needs better control of the thermostat. This new Honeywell Wi-Fi thermostat is the solution to our thermostat needs. She will be able to control the temperature from her smartphone now.
Another cool feature is that we can gauge the temperature in each room with Smart Room Sensors. This install comes with one, but you can add up to 20 sensors.

Great video. I am looking to replace my Honeywell non smart thermostat with this unit. My old thermostat is very similar to your old one, so I am very encouraged this will work well. You skipped through the furnace options quickly without explanation. Sharing why you chose certain options would have been handy.

I have 4 zones. Can I add one of these for each zone? Also, can you program a heating schedule on these thermostats?

  • @D3monicBlaze

This is a long shot - but my previous thermostats had W1 and W2 jumped, single wire for W. Does this one need a jump, does white go to 1 or 2? It's a all in 1 unit for a mobile. Made in 2017 for Florida, I think it's just a heat pump.

I have a Honeywell T6 zwave model and this model is not wifi. I need a wifi thermostat and I'm thinking about getting the T9 as a replacement. I also read in other places that the T6 and T9 uses the same connection back wall plate therefore I should be able to just pop the T6 face out and put the T9 face plate on, a plug and play installation. I will update once I buy the T9 next week. Thanks for going thru the phone setup for the T9.

@@maynarkj No, when I pop in the T9 face plate, it did not work. I then replace the T6 pace plate back on and it did not lit up. I thought I was screwed. So, somehow I short circuit the system. I went to the basement and open the furnace panel and reset the entire furnace, came back upstairs and the T6 was reading again. At this point I was back to square one. This is how I got the T6 to work using my phone app. I have a ring alarm system and I found out that the T6 don't have wifi but it can be connect using the Ring app thru Z Wave. All I did was open my Ring app and added a thermostat to the Ring app and Bingo, it connect to my T6 thru Z Wave. There is nothing on the internet or KZread showing how this works that's why I thought that I needed a wifi thermostat. It turns out I didn't need a wifi thermostat, I just need to connect to the T6 using the Ring app. Hope this help.

Hope this helps: I pulled out my wire bundle from inside my wall and found an unused wire coiled around that wire bundle. I wired that to C on my stat. Then i went down to my furnace and found that same coiled wire around my wire bundle. I wired that to C as well on my furnace board. If you don't have the unused wire, the stat does come with a "C-Wire Adapter". I never used it though because I was able to find my extra wire so I can't offer advice on that
