They carry 50% of the genetic material of each parent (Joe and Egg) but he or she will also carry Joe's wife's *mitochondrial dna* which any DNA test would reveal. As far as we know, however, this doesn't affect disposition or traits, and is more of a "signature" of who gave birth to the person.

​@@kerrie2222 bert was hammered at Mark's bachelor party in Tampa, bert ordered Thai food for everyone. Joe didn't want Thai and ordered pizza. Bert took this as an affront to his manhood, and tried to bully Joe about why he would get different food. Joe, being a sober, Chad, alpha, told bert he's an adult and can eat whatever he wants. Bert melted down because he has lots of demons and mental health issues. Eventually worked himself to tears, and stormed off. Everyone else laughed and talked shit about bert the rest of the night. Now everyone jokes with Joe about it, and he pretends to respect bert. Like everyone else.

Joe list is genuinely one of the funniest and most sincere seeming person in the comedy scene. I went to one of his shows and it was a top 5 comedy show I’ve ever seen. He basically had no material because he had just shot his special and just came up with jokes on the spot and was still funnier than a lot of huge comedians

As a 50 year old with three kids, This has to be the most interesting podcast I’ve ever listened to. Joe is an incredible guy and his takes are completely genuine here. I couldn’t imagine that little egg having a better father.

I’m only here for Joe List! Congratulations on the baby

I'm a huge Joe List fan. My husband and I came up on the losing side of the infertility game. So happy to see Joe and Sarah pull a hail Mary in the final second. All these celebrities and their IVF babies give such a toxic impression that you can have babies late in life. It just doesn't happen without piles of $ and another woman's eggs and even that isn't promised.
