@troysimpsonhoneyridgefarm6 oh yes started out about 2months ago with one hive(British national) now got 6 hives with 3 inhabited and a few spare and warre hive I got to set up too. Very addictive plus you help the area and the bees!

Great video Troy. I always love watching extracting videos. Great looking honey house. We have two girls that are 6 & 9. I feel like I always smell like bees or have propolis on me somwhere. I’m up to ten hives this year. We spun out 67 pounds on a three frame manual extractor yesterday. Not bad for a new beekeeper. This is my 3rd summer. Been through two winters. Is your nylon fabric like having a Five gallon paint strainer you use in a paint spray gun or is the mesh finer than the paint filter. You have a great looking honey house. Thanks for the video

Thanks for showing your honey house. Maybe your refractometer needs recalibration. I don't know how they get out of whack sitting in the case but they do.

Thanks for watching Dennis. Ideally I like to get it up to 85 degrees or so, over night to get the honey warm and then cool it down to work in the daytime. I’m not sure what the mesh is, I just go by feel. I bought some a few months ago that was too tight and the honey wouldn’t go through it.

I’ve had these for a long time and haven’t found a recent source. Yes the have to be washed after every 4 or 5 buckets due to getting clogged.
