Yes, with an “e”, she might appreciate the difference..lol I’m getting my M11 in a couple of weeks and though I am tempted to get the Leica 50 Lux (not the official APO one), but I I keep hearing and seeing over and over the many praises for the VM. I too own the R5/RF50 1.2 combo, so the fact that the VM 50 APO offers the same (if not better) results speaks volumes! @@kaskoPhoto Congratulations on picking up the APO Summicron 😄I'd love to have your feedback and observations on this one especially compared to the Voigtlander. As @Salvamando1, I have a choice to make between 50 APO Lanthar, 50 APO Summicron, and 50 Summilux ASPH (which I already have), in order to just have one very versatile single lens for my M11 and do "everything". Sweet perfection!

  • @carbon6372
    @carbon6372 Жыл бұрын

    Love this lens as well. I use it for landscape and architecture, and the rendering is out of this world. I previously owned their 65 APO and 110 APO lenses as well, which are pure perfection, especially for close-ups, but I wanted something smaller, so I went for their 50 APO, and added the Leica 135 Elmar as well. I hope they do a small 135 or longer one day. The Elmar is a bit long and have some noticeable aberrations. I will probably get their 35 as well, which I previously tried and also enjoyed. If you are in to architecture and landscape, you should take a look at their small wide-angle primes; 10, 12, 15 and 21 f/3.5. I purchased the Laowa 9mm f/5.6, but I might get the Voigtländer 10 instead, as the Laowa colours and casts are very hard to edit. It's an interesting lens, though, and I also use some Laowa macro lenses. I then got the Zeiss Loxia 21, but the Voigtländer 21mm f/3.5 is even smaller, but it has a more curved field. Might give the 90 a try as well, but I don't want too many lenses, aha. I would love to try a Leica one day with these lenses. The mechanics inspire me. I use the lenses on a Sony currently. I put all my GM primes and zoom lenses for sale. I just don't enjoy using them near as much, and I don't want to photograph sports, weddings, et cetera. It's a passion for me, but I always went for the absolute fastest and most feature rich lenses, but I'm throwing that idea out of the window. Just love doing this as a passion, and maybe I will try product photography or so one day. I'm much more relieved. For now, I will study to become a lab technician.
