    @@Room-xi6nb Easy. You only untape one side. Bottom, top, side, doesn't matter. You then crawl in, reach behind you, and pull it back into the wall, effectively retaping it.

    The Green Mile honest trailer should have this joke: "When Stephen King and Frank Darabont lost the oscar to Forrest Gump, they cast Forrest Gump himself. Cuz if you can't beat him, join him".

    Interesting tidbit: The room they used to film that "apartment" where Brooks stayed was actually an office inside the real prison they shot at. A bit of meta-symbolism that Brooksie never made it out of prison.

    For people who don't know; morgan freeman's character is a ginger irishman in the book. The scene where andy asks "why they call him red" and he replies "maybe its cos i'm irish" is a nod to the book. That line confused me for years until i asked google, which is know to locate certain tjings from time to time

    This movie is a perfect example of how talented a writer Stephen King is. His real gems are the many short stories he wrote that are far different than the "horror" genre he is known for.

    Greatest movie of all time. Infinitely rewatchable. It doesn't have a complex plot, it doesn't have explosions and w.e. Yet it grabs your attention from the beginning, and lets you go at the end filled with positive emotions. It is what cinema is supposed to be. A perfect movie.

    Funnily enough I saw forest gump exactly once when I was 20( 36 now), was like meh. Then watch Shawshank a year or two later and loved it and watched it loads, and for the irony I rewatched it asap after being inside for a month 😀

    Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption is worth a read. It's one of Stephen King's best short stories. And Morgan Freeman is so good and that baritone voice is so soothing, you almost forget that Red killed his wife on purpose for the insurance money.

    I didn't even know this was a Stephen King story. That guy is truly gifted, for real. I thought this and the Green Mile were two of the best films I ever saw, go figure they were both written by the same guy, without even ripping each other off.

    @@Simbabweman though in the movie there are birds who "rather be caged". Brooks, who live his life inside prison that he can't survive outside world, and his pet crow, who also can't survive the outside world after Brooks set it free (they found it dead when they're working the field)

    I loved this movie. Amazingly made and acted, awe inspiring and heart wrenching. The Green Mile and this movie stands tall next to each other.

    3:53 "he never shows any sadness about his wife's death?" What about the time he tells red about this place "Zuatinaho"? He shares a memory of his wife with red and tells him how he feels he lead her the path she did. To which red brilliantly replies, "you're not a murderer. A bad husband maybe but u did not pull the trigger."

    back in the olden days we use to have a dvd rental club within our shop. The Rep who dealt us dvds convinced us to get 4 copies off this (which we considered alot for our little shop) . And all 4 copies were rented out every night for about 3 years and made us loadsa money! True Story.

    "Oscar worthy dramas are like a box of chocolates, they look good but you've had your fill after 2 or 3." I feel that so hard. Took me years to get around to seeing Whiplash because "I'm not in the mood for a serious Drama" but it instantly became one of my all time favorites when I finally did. Still haven't seen Parasite for the same reason...
