    I believe that is called Head Canon. Although it also feeds into the larger fan fiction that james bond is an assumed name and all the different actors are just different men that assumed it over the years.

    nrkgalt More like the next guy in line to get the designation, after Connery-Bond was captured and then abandoned by his government. 007 and the Bond name are the designation given to the orphans-turned-spies, who’s real identities have been erased. It’s why every bad guy is both surprised, and not surprised, when they find out his name. Exactly like getting a series of different people, all named “Nic Cage” sent after you, until one of them finally beats you.

    I think it's because there's a somewhat coherent plot, a compelling antagonist who is (at least a little bit) justified in what he does, a stellar supporting cast, Connery doing Bond one last time, and 90's Nick Cage, who was odd but could be great in the right roles. Sometimes, Michael Bay gets it right.

    But it inevitably still has some of the worst traits of his films from racist stereotypes, to all-over-the-place camera work in certain scenes, to awkward editing. And while there's no shots objectifiying women, the two women characters in the movie are terribly underserved.

    @@segsb7085 I really enjoyed the film, don't get me wrong. But those negative elements in Bay's films are still present, even with it being a very good movie. That's all I'm saying. Also, "simp?" Because I'm a man who speaks positively about women I'm automatically a "simp?" I'm not seeking attention back. I'm not trying to give off a sense of entitlement. I am merely voicing my opinion, and I believe that the film could've done its women characters better justice.

    Whenever people put down Michael Bay... I always remember THIS movie. It does everything that people crap on Bay for.... but it was GLORIOUS! He has a lot of garbage out there for sure... but his name attached doesn't automatically condemn a show. This has alwasy been one of my favorites and it's the most Bay thing that Bay has ever done :D

    The Rock was Bay's best movie. Yes it has explosions and a bunch of other Bay clichés in it, but this movie was written smartly and has a kickass soundtrack. Pearl Harbour and Armageddon are better than Bayformers, but worse than The Rock.

    Seeing an Honest trailer for a Nicholas Cage movie like this just reminds me of the Brooklyn 99 episode Safe House with Jake having to guard Kevin by himself for weeks with only Jake's collection of Nic Cage movies to watch. Finally Kevin breaks down and watches (almost) all of them.

    Fun fact. For the big chase scene in San Francisco, the production company painted fake cable car tracks on Jones St. They looked so real that the city had to put up signs telling people the real cable car was a few blocks over.

    There are two "shower' scenes in the movie, Which scene are you talking about ? There is a shower scene where Sean Connery takes a warm shower in a hotel and steals a rope,and there is another badass scene in the old abandoned shower room of Alcatraz where commander Anderson's men are ambushed.

    Seriously though, this is a great film. Story, acting, even music. This is 90s Nick Cage. This is actually one of Bay's best. And Cage's best too. Ed Harris was the game changer here.

    I really liked 90s Nicolas Cage. Lot of great movies "Leaving Las Vegas," The Rock, "Face-Off," Con Air," ETC. While there were some good movies he did, the 2000s were a bit rough for him. "NOT THE BEES! AAAAAHHHHH! OH, THEY'RE IN MY EYES! MY EYES! AAAAHHHHH! AAAAAGGHHH! "
