Here's what I loved about the Derol character: The first time you see him, Miles Bron clearly says, *"Oh, that's Derol, he's not a part of this at all."* AND, he wasn't. 🤣😂

My prediction for next movie: all the suspects get killed one by one. It doesn't seem to make any sense, the evidence doesn't point to any of them, because they all did it (in order, each killer gets killed next, including the last one, who sets off a trap laid by the first one.

The issue was never that the movie *literally* destoyed the Mona Lisa-it's that it stated very clearly that burning the Mona Lisa to "stick it to the rich" would be a moral act. This is a painting that dozens of people literally risked their lives to keep from being destroyed by the Nazis (along with art by a number of other artists whose work the Nazis burned for "appealing to degenerate elites"), and the movie treats burning that same work, for roughly the same reasons, like it's not a horrifying crime.

One subversion *sigh* that I did love was right at the beginning with the straight up ridiculous puzzle box (which I caught the magic-eye thing right away) that Helen just smashes that thing up from the get go. That got a laugh for sure!

@@o.b.7217 Totally fair. I don't hold hate for this one. It just felt far more current-moment-in-time for 2020. Though Elon being a total idiot might have been a bit of foresight. Characters are fun, and while I"m fine with a mystery that doesn't give you vital information--one where you just enjoy the ride--this one felt a bit heavy handed in that aspect. And the culminating act of her just breaking a bunch of stuff...I didn't have a "yeah!" reaction. I sort of just rolled my eyes.

Personally I was veeery let down by this :/ The 'celebrity friends in pretty locales with inside jokes' vibe was played up too much and excruciating at times. To the point of distracting from the story. And I'm sorry but the performances of Monae, Bautista and Leslie Odom Jr all kind of sucked to me and pulled me out whenever they were on screen.

This movie was dumb. So Helen/ Andi won't be in legal trouble for blowing up a house and the Mona Lisa? Just Ed Norton? Dumb. Everyone at the ends decides to tell the truth and perjury themselves. They are going to jail. So much dumb in this movie. A whodunit film when you know whodunit in the first 10 minutes.

I think the idea is that everyone will lie and/or commit perjury again but this time pin everything on Miles. For both of the murders surely. And I assume if they'll commit perjury about that, they wont have any issues with saying Miles also accidentally blew up his own house with the Mona Lisa in it. I don't think Miles has any proof to dispute them if they do.
