A few nitpicks+my thoughts 1. You are using the wrong app if you want to use Galaxy AI to erase stuff out of photos. You need to use the default Gallery app. Not Google photos 2. One of the use cases for me for the reverse wireless charging is charging my Galaxy buds case or Galaxy watch when I don't have access to wall power. I don't use it to charge other people's phones. 3. As for the 7 year of updates, I do not plan on using this phone for 7 years but reselling value should be higher as the phone will still be up-to-date in terms of OS by the time I want to upgrade to another phone

Ngl. I tend to use finger unlock instead of face unlock. Most android users tend to.

I got one of these devices last month and had to return it due to faulty camera. As I was on video calls it kept getting pixelated and I’m wondering if it’s a known issue for everyone or if that was indeed a faulty device and I could try one again? Thanks

Great review. Watching this on my titanium black 🙏 agree with all that you said and my only problem is also with the face ID, doesn't work with face mask on or in the dark.

Face unlock doesn't work. I've tried everything, from calling Samsung Support, to searching online. Maybe a future update will fix the problem.

As a Apple user, one should probably know there is actual technology going into the FaceID. These phones only have a camera which is not great. If Android users have the face unlock, its probably there for a "backup" for quite many, everyone uses fingerprint.

I am ready to upgrade from the S21 and was thinking about going to get an iPhone, but can't think of a reason for actually leaving other than wanting to try something different. I think I am just going to get the S25 next year hopefully something actually changes with it.

One issue i have with moving to s24ultra as a long time iphone user. Is volume rocker location. Lol

Have you considered that MAYBE the issues you have with face unlock are related to wearing a cap and/or the angle you are pointing the phone at you? Also, although not necessarily required, try to keep your eyes open and look to the front camera. For me it works very well, sometimes I think some glare from light sources may impact the face recognition.

Fingerprint on my works every time and is very fast. Have no idea why you're having issues. Maybe try adding a swcobd finger profile and using the thumb twice? Face unlock also always works, but I prefer the fingerprint.

The display isn't "Grainy" it's just fine. The phone comes in FHD+ display setting from the factory. You have to change it to QHD+. Idiots say it's Grainy.

I picked mine up through Costco and AT&T. 300+ tax with s21 trade in.

Thought about getting this, but in a phone, i want something that is lightweight, put it in your pocket, and forget about it. So i got the s24 regular in black. What a classic beauty.

On face unlock my primary is without a hat and secondary I'm wearing my hat works a little better for me.

Since Apple got sued for their monopoly. Alot of influencer have been using this phone and liking it.

Ai-processed erasing objects/people inside a photo features, already available in my Xiaomi's Mi10 from 2020.

I own one as well, I like your honest review of the S24 Ultra. I also own Pixel 8 pro; I love my Pixel as well as it is simpler to use .

You need to hold the phone in the same position you had it in when you registered your face. Take notice how the phone was angled. It has nothing to do with firmware. Don't try to pick up your face like you do with your iphone because it's not an iphone.

Face unlock is a feature that may as well be turned off on this anyway. It isn't an iPhone, so is not 3D or secure. That's why payment cards require fingerprint on Samsung.

Galaxy S24 ultra is indeed a beast

Worst logistics for function buttons. It's a larger phone for a woman's hand for sure. There is a complete left side open for Bixby. Leave the ON button also as an OFF button. Send Bixby packing left. Bixby is a HATE issue for me. To screen shot,, all function is with 2 buttons.. This is impossible with one hand due to the size of the phone. Put one button on the left side so the thumb can also help screenshot. Now the screenshot SWIPE is horrible for Dating Apps. So many hopeful men get denied cuz I choose to screenshot the bio by swiping left. There are other function issues to be revealed another time. Consider the Female Customers smaller hands when building BIG phones so logistic function is a priority to access all those other internal upgrades. Thank you🦋

all teh videos I see from the S24 ultra are jerky when moving and 8:40 is no exception, also why bother with google cloud to get stuff from PC just plug phone into PC and drag and drop.

After using it for a month, I guess its only difference between other android phones is its rectangular shape. And the better AI on editing photos vs the one by google (dude in the video used this instead of the samsung AI) Sure it feels premium but 100% of the time, you'd use a case along with the phone. So, it really doesn't matter that much.

Sending my 24U to the service point. This strange sound during video recording, when you hold the phone at certain angle. This "brrrrrrrrrrrrt kind of sound.

Take it from someone who has used every Ultra model and note model since Note 8. Last year's model was better than this one.. the only benefit this one has is a slightly faster processor but not enough that you can tell without performance comparison. But it doesn't feature things that previous models did like live messages. The flat screen is nice for screen protectors but it allows debris to get between screen and phone. The S Pen fills cheaper and cannot be swapped with other models. The S-Pen also scratches quite easily just from putting it back into where it belongs. The AI features are nice and put it ahead of the curve with features like Circle to search but that only lasted for a few months and then the last two series of Samsung models were updated to have those features completely making the new model practically redundant when it comes to advertising that product for those features. The battery life does feel slightly better than the last Model but I would argue it's the same battery just better processor. As for the non-reflective screen that's a big pass from me. You have no idea how much you use your phone as a mirror until you don't have that option. It's still reflective but think of it like it has a coating similar to sunglasses. It doesn't personally make the phone easier to see if it does it's only slightly under certain lighting scenarios. Also reflective coating that they are using is similar to sunglasses in the aspect of the slightest bit of oil could leave metallic streaks across your phone that are quite difficult to get off at times. I'm also personally not a fan of the matte finish that they put over the titanium. Me personally it feels like nails on a chalkboard. And would have been so much better if they would have made it metallic like the previous year. Also the colors are kind of lackluster on the Ultras this year the black looks gray compared to last year's black literally the S-Pen is gray and last year was black with a rubber coating over it and this year it has a matte finish coating over the pen. Also one more thing about the pain it does not have a protruding button and it also does not sit flush debris and dust can get around your Pen. This year's model is flat and I've caught my nail underneath it when attempting to eject it. He really got to stop investing in the software if it means that they've got to give up Quality Hardware. I mean what do we really need glass backs still? Why can't the back of the phone be titanium they're using a low-grade even under what apple is using it would not cost as much as the frosted gorilla glass I would think. It would be nice if these damn things were mag safe these days. Also one thing I would like to add I know this has nothing to do with the phone company but because they are flat screen some cases like the OtterBox Defender will grab your beard if you have one. Never had that problem with the same case on 6 models before this.

Actually I've taken moon photos on my s24 ultra. Super clear when you consider how far the MOON is.

I don't like the back, it's not symmetric. You have 3 camera lenses, then what looks like two more next to it (only 1 is a camera lens). Those 5 should be arranged differently, like an "X" or something. This phone doesn't have good aesthetics.

Think of it differently, the 3rd main camera is a telephoto which takes up way more space which is why you cannot fit anything beside it, so the best option is having the S24 line have the flash right next to the upper two camera then transition it with 2 lenses above and below the flash with the S24 Ultra. I think they did a decent job with the asthetic look with what they had.
