Thanks for spending your hard earned money on that for us. You just saved me a $180. It's only $45 less than what I paid for the whole grill.

I agree with you on the flaw for the rotisserie. I would’ve thought some people would want it completely closed when doing rotisserie. Hope BBQUBE changes that design. Thank you for the review.

I don't think these pizza accessories including the one made by Kamado Joe are necessary, I just put $5 15in pizza stone that I bought on clearance at Kroger in my auto Kamado and close the lid to let it come up to temp and it works great.

Thanks for Watching William! Bought it more for the rotisserie
Looks like someone just tried to copy a KJ DoJoe. Speaking of Tom, I was experimenting with the KJ SloRoller insert with my auto Kamado. It fits! But you need to buy a separate grill grate because the 20” Akorn grate won’t fit. As I was in Home Depot a couple days ago to purchase the 17” Weber Grate to use with the SloRoller in my auto Kamado, I noticed they’re blowing out the KJ Classic 2 for $585! Normally $1300! I was never considering that unit at the $1300 price, but $585? Yep, had myself my own impulse buy! I’m going to keep my auto Kamado too. So not sure if you’re in the market for another Kamado, but that’s a killer deal!

HI Tom, great review video of the attachment! I have a request for a test of the auto kamado. If you leave set the temps at 225 but leave the top vent to full open, would it burn more charcoal/wood and impart more smoke flavor on the protein?

Thanks for Watching Trey! It most likely would keep on climbing the temps, so yes it will burn more but it will also be a higher temp
Think I will get my Onlyfire Rotisserie out and see how it rests on mine.

Not a bad set up Tom. Do you think it’s worth $180. I noticed on another video the KJ Jotisserie will fit too. Also how necessary is it to cook with lid closed. I’ve seen Smoking Dad cook on his KJ Jotisserie with the lid open and no deflector. I think he banks the coals towards the back of the firebox.

Thanks for Watching Steve! As I said at the end of the video, I don’t believe it’s worth it, plus needed to make a mod so you could keep the lid closed and have some temp control. Yes you could bank up the charcoal, use Weber charcoal baskets or the SNS. The pizza aspect of it is worthless
The link to this is not there. Is it still available?

Thanks for watching Dennis, can’t seem to locate it, maybe a google search?
My manual says "DO NOT use the heat deflector at temperatures above 450 degrees." I see you ignored that here - is that ok to do? Do you know why they advise so strongly against using it at high temps?

@@TomHorsmanAmateurBBQ To be clear I'm referring to the auto kamado instructions and its reference to use of the heat deflector. Not the instructions for this pizza accessory.

Oh, didn’t know that, you are correct I have, most likely the concern is that the higher heat could warp it I guess

Why not just wrap it with foil for rotisserie mode?

Thanks for Watching Francesco! You could, however the steel will handle longevity better than aluminum foil. Also if it gets to hot the foil will melt.
Seems very expensive for a little stainless and a motor. Pizza looked great, but the “thing” isn’t necessary 😊

You shouldn't hafta mode the front of the rotisserie! The pizza I think turned out better than the pizza ovens you tested!

No need to drill the stainless steel ring. I used natural AL, Drilled the aluminum at each end,, with tension to bend with the ring, drilled and bolted in. I added a mirror piece wrapped in thick aluminum foil so it kept the front of ring temp down. Less chance of getting burned.

Thanks for watching Jack! Good job
Well Tom i learned something , never try and ramp the temp to 600 when you leave in the heat stone , it tends to freak out fans and controllers and make them throw codes
