We weren’t allowed to tell customers we were closing on a regular day but the company allowed us to basically kick people out at closing time during Christmas Eve. Some people would get so mad that they didn’t have time to shop for presents but we were all ready to go home and see our family. Not my fault their stupid selves didn’t shop earlier

This is why I usually start my interactions with retail workers with “sorry to bother you”, and end them by saying “thank you”. Thank you so much for saying that! Not everyone has worked retail (I have),but everyone has been a customer. I'd like to tell all retail workers to please not hate us. Yes, about 5% of us are crazy a-holes, but focus on the 95% who are friendly and appreciate your help. The senior citizens even like you helping them feel less lonely. But yes ... management. Greed is not always smart. Why put out Xmas stuff out in September, but treat your employees, who are running the place, like shit? If they're happy, tthey'll make customers happier and more likely to hang around and buy more products. Morons! Sorry for the long reply. It's late at night and I just rambled on. Good luck in your job!
@MyShiroyuki

Where I work, the management I see every day is fine. The higher ups are terrible but we barely ever have to deal with them. The customers though... I’m quitting my job because they are the most toxic entitled assholes on the planet. And I don’t even live in a big city! I live in Anchorage, which only barely qualifies as a city, and yet we have some very horrible customers who act like employees are their slaves and nothing they say is ever wrong.
The most popular question when I worked at a retail store was, "Where's the restroom." One day I was feeling brave, so when a customer started walking toward me obviously looking as if she were going to ask a question, I blurted out before she could say anything, "The restrooms are in the children's department by the exit doors." Her startled reply was "Thank you" and off she went towards the children's department.

It is a great day at Walmart....how may I help UUUUU. How may I help,
I hate how accurate this is to me, I actually slept during training lol
As a walmart employee I can relate to the beginning. Every single day, people are waiting for me at the time clock to hand me their department keys, so I would be running around the store, opening locked up items to take up to the register. This leads me to bumping into multiple customers asking for help. I would be back at my own department 30 min later asking myself, "what was I doing again" "oh right working on this one pallet." Then the cycle continues until my shift ended and I'm still not done with the pallet I started 5 hours ago.
that's so true but that's not my department I don't know where anything is at. it's so you should did the registers I got all those registers and there's only a few of them open and people stand in line for hours
