Taking the new xr150l off roading for the first time. Was really fun feeling out the bike. The upgrades we made thus far seemed to really help it off road and the only that really lacked besides my skills was the tires! Thanks for watching!

I put a shinko 241 on front and a tusk d-sport on the rear of my xr150l. It has really opened up trails for me.
Small bike are loads of fun off road, and they cause very little damage to wet trails.
I have a 16t and knobbies on mine and it struggles hard on long steep hillclimbs. I can tell yours has more torque on the hills.
Some outfit needs to offer a matched set of 60/40 or 50/50 tires for this bike which are reasonable in price. Living in Alaska, my price for tires with shipping is even greater. But yes, I have slid a LOT in the dirt with the stock tires. Fine on asphalt but suck offroad.

@@zac_in_ak I got tires for my Yamaha VStar 650 through the mail no problem. But anything XR150 they want a fortune for.

Im upgrading my XR150 tires to the Shinko 804 Front tire 100/90-19 and 805 Rear Tire 130/80-17 , should help out alot offroad, im excited to try them next year

@ajillian1 i am sure there is something out there that is more dirt then street, the shink 804/805 i went with because its more of a 50/50 tire

@ajillian1 yeah it might take a bit since they are so new in the usa not many people have upgraded theirs yet, try searching "xr150 knobby tires" as there is a few videos
You gotta put the camera on the old man and get some footage of him sending it off road on the XR

Here is a video I made on the handlebars. It goes into some good info we wish we knew before getting the bars we got. We would go with something with more control area if we were to do it again but this should give a good idea of which ones might work best for you !
