I work at a Honda dealer and we sell so many wheel locks/locking lug nuts. Yet it won’t matter, these thieves can easily get a lug nut removal tool for them at any Honda dealer. Not much you can do unless you have special unique wheels

I just like it how that we need to protect our stuff but yet no one has the common decency to get a fucking job.

This is why im on air suspension. Air out the car completely to the floor. They cant stick a jack to lift the car 😅

I have 19 Honda Accord Sport! I live in an area rampant with theft and have heard how many people get their rims and cars jacked. I definitely would love the free rim guard. Just sent this video to my son in Texas in an apt. He has a '22 Accord. Don't think his are the sport wheels, but they are alloys with low profile tires.

I just got the 10th gen sport rims for my 2012 Honda Accord because I liked the look of it compared to the original rims and I couldn't imagine someone stealing them from me. I feel Rimgard would be a lifesaver and help ease my mind a little. It'd be great to get a set and thank you for shining a light on this issue!

why did you choose a heavy stock rim over lighter and most likely cheaper aftermarket wheels? did you buy "stolen" wheels (and tires) at a too good to be true price? why not put Acura wheels on the Accord if you are going to "upgrade"? same-same right?

Those Rimgards look super clean and slick. A sport 1.5 owner in Los Angeles can be a recipe for disaster and I always was interested in getting myself a set. I would love to enter! 10:42

I own my 19 accord sport 1 year now haven’t had any problems with being mess with beside dealing with close calls by bad drivers.

This happened to a friend twice. His insurance company refused the claim the second time. These thefts have appeared to cool down.

These thefts have not cooled down. They are increasing with regularity. I had my first set stolen 7 months ago, and after processing my insurance claim and $500 deductible, the total cost was $7,700. I had to switch insurance companies, because my premiums went up by a few hundred dollars. Now I have new insurance, and made sure I had locking lug nuts, no matter. Just a few days ago, my wheels were stolen again in a big crime network that operated overnight where I live in Maryland (a good neighborhood). They stole pickup trucks, and stole wheels from Honda Accords. The remaining soda crates were stacked in a parking lot nearby where the thieves crew HQ'd during the early morning hours. In both instances, 7 mo ago and just a few days ago, I filed a police report and filed an insurance claim, and ordered rental car. This is a big hassle and it seems that County police are just too overwhelmed and understaffed to take on this problem. They need the FBI to come in as I think this is part of a larger criminal organization hitting many cities, many different types of cars/trucks (especially Honda Accords and Civics in this area). There have been arrests over the last few months for carjackings in the DC area, but it is happening all over the place and car owners need to have more awareness as to what's going on. I seriously thought about selling my Honda after this happened a 2nd time. I wonder if this Rim Guard solution posted on this video works. I forwarded this to the owner of the other '23 model Accord in my neighborhood. He was thinking of getting less sporty rims, but I also think thieves are gonna come after those too (as long as they are in good condition when they steal them). I think it's worth a shot to look into Rim Guards. I know I will lose money if I decide to sell my '22 Accord.

What I really liked about these Rim Guards besides deterring P.O.S.s the Rim Guard covers up the horrible looking brake dust that gets into the area around the lug nuts that's a pain to clean. @8:00 is a good example. Plus these look decent. Great video!👑

Had my stolen off my 2.0 Sport. Right out of my driveway. They busted my garage security light. Got them on my security cameras. The he police knew who it was from the video but couldn’t get any prints off the car so they wouldn’t make an arrest. Video of a theft isn’t enough evidence for them to do anything. Oh and btw, it’s not only a claim on your insurance. It shows as a “minor accident” on your car fax. A kick in the nuts for when I sell it. It’s no wonder they don’t pursue the thefts. It’s a racket for insurance. Tire and wheel sales, tow companies and police to all get a cut. Go figure

Rimgard been helping me for over 2 years now. MIND U I LIVE IN THE BRONX. just remember always have the key and glue on you. Tire popped the other day and it would’ve been over for me if i didn’t have the accessories to remove the lock.

When you go years without causing an accident and spend thousands on insurance to not use then have someone total your car out of no where and some how my rates went up monthly payments are higher due to that and I still had to pay out of pocket to get it repaired . I love insurance . It’s just one HUGE SCAM

I have a 2022 Accord Sport 2.0T and where I picked up my car from, they gave me wheel locks and they installed it on my car. I am considering getting this wheel locks for my wheels and want an extra piece of mind that one day I walked up to my vehicle protected and not wheels aren’t stolen

So my question is this... How are these rim locks over time with repeated heat cycles from driving and road moisture, dirt, grime etc. ?? Are there any long term test results available anywhere ?

are they painted aluminum or steel? the paint should protect from the elements, but you are also rotating tires every 5k-6k miles, so you can check them at least twice a year...

This came up on my home page at the right time lol There’s an upscale here with those in my city and i’d definitely love to try to enter the contest if it’s still going on. I have a 2019 Accord Sport and they’ve been breaking in and finding the wheel lock piece to remove the rims. But I found this very helpful and thanks for the tutorial!

Doing this and a viper two way alarm system. Any motion to the car and the remote will make noise and notify you, as well as the car beeping like crazy LOL

Bought my Honda accord end of 2020 with 13 miles come February 2021 week of my birthday someone stole my side mirror. Was getting quoted $500+ out of pocket because it was below my deductible, and ended up getting an aftermarket mirror and installing it myself. I heard about rimguard shortly after but can’t afford the price tag. God forbid someone try’s to take my rims, brother in law had his cats stolen from his CRV just a couple of months ago. I’m in NYC and theft like this isn’t unheard of here.

So my question is, being that u have aftermarket wheels, the Rimgard u installed is not for the OEM Honda Wheels, but for your aftermarket wheels right? I'm asking because I also have aftermarket wheels, thus the OEM rimgard wouldn't fit on mine right? Just trying to figure out what to order.

The wheels in the video are my Honda Accessory wheels, which Rimgard did have a set for. The Rimgard locks for the Honda Accord Sport wheels look even better 😁. I would recommend that you reach out to Rimgard to see if they have a set that fits.

I have a question, what you gonna do if you have a flat tire with this cap on? Or doing a tire rotation at a shop for oil change?

I have the little tin with the clay, the hex key and the torque bolt in a small ziplock bag in my glovebox. You can use the tin itself to remove the center cap. If you bring it to a shop, either show them how to remove them, or simply remove them yourself before you go to have work done.

I drive the 2018 Honda accord sport 2.0 white car and would love to have a pair of these rim guards.

do you have a set for 2014 ford fusion rims? while i was on deployment( different base than my own ) my 18 inch wheels were taken from my car _ my 2 month old tires..i just bought.... thanks

You should check the Rimgard website to see if the have wheel locks for the Fusion. The set that is part of the giveaway is for the Honda Accord Sport wheels.

These make tire rotations/changing a flat tire a nightmare but I guess the piece of mind is worth it.

How so? I’ll keep the clay in the car, but besides having to remove the center caps, all you have to do is unlock them with the key 😁

I've had to take them off for tire rotation and it takes 5 minutes not a hassle at all.
