Nice review ! you get the message across very clear. So I've ordered my CR today from Gedges in Pevensey, what a great bikers shop, they exude in being real bikers. I recognized some of the roads you were on - I'm in Wadhurst, can't wait to pick it up next week. For those who are reading this, I also ordered the GIVI DOLOMITI Cases www.givi.co.uk/side-hardbags/Monokey/DLM36%20TREKKER%20DOLOMITI These were put on the Givi site today as a new product. I've had a BMW K1200s for 8 years and tried this bike out - it rocks - so versatile - love it ! Now need marriage guidance :-)

Nice one dude sorry for the late reply, bloody KZread! I don't ride on the road anymore, but if I gave up track days I'd get something like this, so nice to ride, hate to admit it, but it was better to ride than my done up fz1, my only wish it it had abit more power, hope you're enjoying it pal

Well, things have moved on since. I think I expected too much out of the VFRX. With two up and luggage on a trip through the alps down to Nice and a hop across to Corsica. The bike did not like low speed handling ! There was more than enough power, the bike is comfy but wobbly front when riding very slow. Too much weight in the luggage. Anyway, As I had another trip organised to the Pyrenees I replaced the VFRX with an R1200GS LC TE and gotta say, there 'aint much that can touch the GS for the mountain roads with sharp hairpins. I get 55-61mpg out of the GS on a tour. The VFRX struggled to return 48mpg on the tour. I would certainly recommend the VFRX for fun, speed etc but it don't like the heavy loads.
