Hey, I have a 2000 trx350. I put the green/red wire from solenoid to battery earth like you said and the bike will now start in any gear but the neutral light stays on. Do I need to ground the green/red wire on CDI also to make light work properly?

Hi. I have a 2006 Honda 350ES. I've changed my electric shift to a foot shift. The foot shifter goes through the gears but the shifter indicator won't show a neutral light just a "1" indicting it's in first gear (it is in neutral). When I shift into "reverse" (with my foot shifter), the neutral light goes on for a split second on the foots way into reverse. Will these methods work for this machine. Any tips on which one to use. Thanks.

When you ground the green wire on the cdi are you cutting it off the wire plug and just re routing it to the battery ground side or is it spliced all together and re routed to the battery ground?

Capactive Discharge Ignition.

I have a Honda FourTrax 300 and I'm not getting no spark the last guy before me put a golf cart body on top of it he cut all the wires up so the on and off switch I don't know where that at the key is in there hooked up but I'm not getting no spark can I take that green wire hook it up to a ground and bypass that on and off take the green wire off the CDI box right

Hey Mate Is there a need to ground the light green wire all the way back to the battery and not just ground it the the frame?

Nope as long as it is grounded the spot does not matter. Could be engine block, frame pr battery. Wherever you prefer

Is there anyway I can get you to email me better pictures of what you did for this?

So i grounded it by the cylenoid and nothing happened is the yellow and red wire a factor?

Yellow/red wire should get a 12v charge when the starter button is pressed.

How do you do that my honda does not start good at all half of the time its ruff at start up sometimes

There are multiple things that could cause rough starting.

I have a 2008 Honda Recon EX. 250 I start the ATV. And I can't get it to go forward or reverse. I've changed out the rear axle bearings. What's wrong with it?

Could be transmission, worn out clutches, driveshaft, u joints, broken gears in diff, brakes might be, or hubs are stripped out. Theres a lot of things that could go wrong hopefully that puts you on the right track at-least.

it could be your electric shifter not working or if you have a foot shifter the splines on the shaft might be

or your foot pedal or gear shifter popped out of the shift shaft which controls the reverse and it's stuck

Yep wont hurt anything completely safe just make sure you follow instructions carefully

I tried doing this and now I don’t have any lights with the key on and I don’t have a Neutral light or any lights until I pull start it and I can’t even electric start it anymore

Check your fuse you might have either shorted something, cut the wrong wire(s) or had an issue already and this just did it in. Make sure you follow the video very closely and get the colors exactly right, this only applies to the first gen models. I dont know how the newer ones are
