Love the way you did the review. Thank you for your passion.
Bro, i pick up my pearl stallion brown rebel 1100 dct the saturday jan 8 and u just made me more excited!!
Yes Sir! Wonderful review! I absolutely love mine!
As a mention, it's almost October, 2022, as I write this. And there's a lot of these for sale, many, many used 2021's and 2022's, with supposedly under 600 miles + or - on them, for sale. Most of them are tricked out with extra equipment. It just makes me wonder how they are ridden so few miles, then up for sale, after throwing more specialty equipment into them. Some of them are already having the 2nd owner put them up for sale at the end of the 2022 riding season. Which begs to ask? Why do people sell these bikes so quickly? Are they that boring? That impractical? That uncomfortable? It really gives me a buyer beware attitude, why people flip them so soon.

The beginners are picking up the 300s, which are single cylinders and shake horribly. The 500s are better, but you still should replace the seat and extend the bars. Those are the two that I see come and go from my dealer. The 1100s are worth putting the money into and keeping.
Really good review Marshall👊💪💪

Thank you Calle!!
Love the place!!! Good research as well
nice review
Great review. Thanks
Hey! Great review. Maybe stupid question but: this bike or some used (15 years old Harley like Fat Boy) will be better choice while switching from more sporty bike Triumph Street Triple 675?

This one will be WAY more reliable, nimble, lighter, and have a faster top speed than any air-cooled V-twin. Just the DCT alone will see to that, as no power is lost to pulling in a clutch to change gears. Now which one will be more comfortable on long trips? The Harley, most likely. The Rebel needs higher bars, a windshield, and a new seat for long comfortable rides. Well, if you are over 40 anyway. I'm sure there's an invincible high schooler out there somewhere that could ride it across the country in 4 days.
Be careful... The more you ride it, the more you like it. 😁

Precisely ! lol
Good opening line. I laughed out loud. Looks a touch cramped, but I reckon you could build the seat up to gain a couple of inches. How comfortable do you find it? My inside leg is 32''.

I'm 32" as well. I didn't find it cramped, but I think I'd raise the bars a bit, add a windshield and bags. It might look like a funky shrunken bagger when I'm done, but it just might be PERFECT. Stay tuned, because my wife wants either this very one or the DN-01 for herself.

@@ridingwithmarshall Thanks. And I will.
Could you recommend this motorcycle to a beginner? Since it has a rain mode, you can start off in that mode till you get used to it then try standard. I just always here people say start off with a smaller one get used to it then upgrade if you want, but watching all these videos on the 1100 really really makes me want to get it haha. I've heard other beginners say they just went for it and loved it.

I'm on the same boat. Considering getting one in November. Looking at what people are saying about rain mode in various YT vids it seems like it's a good mode for a beginner to start. As long as you're very disciplined about taking it easy, I think it's doable. I went on a few freebie rides on the Rebel 500, courtesy of the nice guys at my motorcycle school and it's a nice little bike, but would want to sell it in a year or two for sure.

I would say it's perfect for a beginner or an experienced rider. I don't recommend the Rebel 300. It's got too much vibration and horrible ergonomics for a beginner, but the 1100 is a bike you will keep.

@@ridingwithmarshall I'm so glad to hear that, hoping to put half-3/4 down-payment in 3 weeks for mine! Fingers crossed!🤞
*Does it have the option to modification where the rear tire can be replaced with a 280?* *And also, if we can put V&H pipes or something?*

I can't answer about the rear tire, but I'm sure V&H will eventually have something for it.

This is a fuel injected engine. Modified exhaust will make the engine run hotter and leaner than it already does with the stock pipe with the backpressure the engine was designed to run on. Leave the exhaust stock, so you don't do damage to an already very lean and hot running motor.
6th gear at 35 mph? Sounds like I’d have to keep it in sport mode all the time like I do with the ctx700.

I had a CTX700, An NM4, and I have an NC700X now. You are right, even with the Africa Twin, you have to use Sport mode to get the most out of the bike. Drive mode is just for conserving gas.
Two things I absolutely hate about this motorcycle is the 3.6 gallon fuel tank and the 100 mph speed governor 😑. 5 gallon tank and 20 more mph would be nice .I understand the bike is governed because it's unstable at higher speeds. But why 3.6 gallons ?

I agree. I've had to go 110 to get around a truck throwing debris on the interstate, and I think 200 miles to a tank should be minimum. It's a cruiser though, and not a long distance one.

Nah, I played it chill for a minute. I'm going to show my wife that bike again today to see if she wants it. I know she would absolutely love a DCT once she tries one.

@@mahermaher502 Thank you! I look for ways to make them funny, but sometimes I got nothing. I make them because it's fun, and sometimes (rarely), I get recognized in public.
Your "17 horsepower if the wind was low" comment - seems to misunderstand horsepower! Horsepower is a unit of power. Power describes how fast energy is exchanged; a use of energy divided by how long it takes to use that energy. Therefore the measurement of horsepower refers to what the sustained output of an engine is. The term horsepower was invented by James Watt, who made significant improvements to the steam engine. Surely, an external condition (such as wind), impacts speed, rather than the work that the engine is capable of? Indeed, an engine would work harder in the wind - to achieve the same speeds, notwithstanding - that close to the threshold - it may not be able to achieve the stated maximum speeds as stated! It is a great video, but given how many useful, and correct assertions were made - the flippant and humorous horsepower comment seemed odd!
