Honda Prelude AC Compressor Delete Belt!

This video is how to delete your ac compressor with a smaller 36 inch 6 rib belt (instead of the 42 inch 6 rib) for a Honda Prelude or Accord that’s has an H22 / F20b. An air conditioning compressor delete belt for an H22 engine in a Honda Prelude is pretty common for turbo setup so that you can create more room and reduce unwanted engine load.

AYO back to this video after my ac clutch is making this godawful sound. Cut belt and the engine is so quiet I can hear the single valve tick I have. Now to get the shorter one

Hello in your obd1 video with the dizzy install, which dizzy did you use? I can’t find one for a H23a in my 5th gen prelude. Curious to see what dizzy you from what car thanks.

It’s an internally coiled f20b dizzy. I can get the number for you tomorrow if you want.

@@thestateofreal2533 I think I know it the tdu 60 or something, I’m in the process of looking for one rn/ off a 4th prelude somewhere too maybe. Also looking for any obd1 dizzy tho. Good video too thank you I think I saw you car the prelude meet in bath maybe
So my 2000 prelude sh started smoking like crap and apparently my serpitine belt broke and so did my compressor but I need help me finding one but with a ac delete bc there’s no point of buying one with the ac and fixing the compressor Bc it’s winter already but where can I get one?

i have a compressor but you can probably find one on ebay
Did you run into any issues with the alternator after doing this? Like does the alternator end up spinning faster than normal without the ac compressor?
