I use it as my main bike in London it leaves the rest behind in the dust. Filtering through congested traffic and easy to park a gem. I also do some motorway travel could wish it did more than 65mph but its ok

I'm about to sell my 900 ninja which I've had for 14yrs to get a Honda Monkey instead, I've owned up to 1000cc now to do the ultimate downsize 😱, bit scary, I know what you mean, you can have too much of a good thing "the sweetest Honey, is loathsome in it's own deliciousness" but tbf my biking passion has been waning for some time and I barely ride, and I feel like the bike is getting heavier and more cumbersome as I get older and greyer, I know what you're saying though, I have done a few 10mile each way commutes on a 50cc that tops out at 25mph, I take backroads and push over foot bridges and it is quite relaxing and enjoyable at such a leisurely pace, but I know there is a fine line between enjoyable and a right royal pain, so yeah only do that when it's beautiful sun and makes a change avoiding the road works and traffic jams on the big roads..👍

My first bike is a 1988 Honda C90 economy which I still have will forever have since it’s my favourite bike but I need something that keeps up with traffic and something where I can just get on and go , thinking I will pick up a black one straight from the Honda dealer and getting some accessories for it . I’ve had a ride on a mates one and it was so much fun it made me realise that bikes are more than just a hobbie , it’s a way of life and I want into that life

I like mine, the only mod is 1 tooth smaller countersprocket, mirror extenders, and a rack. These bikes don't really loosen up until 1000 miles or so. Some say that a wind screen helps with a couple mph too.

Here in The States, a country to city commute of 12-15 miles would be enjoyable for me. It's not my lovely little sunny bike that would get old with everyday commuting - its the awful, inconsiderate, and dangerous auto drivers that will all but drive right over you just to arrive three minutes earlier to jobs they hate or to pick Johnny up from football practice: horrible, loveless, joy-killing people.

@@NorthernMotovlog You mean the 2022 in silver and black? It looks sharp, I agree. I looked at getting a 2022, but in the silver and yellow. Mine remains my favorite of all of the last three generations of Monkey's that have come out, which is the 2019 in banana yellow. It is my little sunny bike. The color, alone, delights me. I wouldn’t want to commute on it because it would take away from what it really is, a fun bike for pleasure use! Longer rides aren’t an issue I’ve done a few on it and it’s comfy but for decent sized commutes there are just better bikes for that and tbf this is just a great bike for social riding!

This is a novelty bike, one for a child to learn on, or for the old romantics of their childhood. To make it a 'sensible' daily rider is ludicrous. Plenty of options out there. Love this bike, learned how to ride 50 years ago as a ten year old,, it was 'god like' for a 10 year old. It was meant as a trail bike. Many thanks to Honda for keeping the dream alive.
