"Car seat at dining table" - good analogy. Shame about rough ride 'Sport' dampers, no good in town; streets here are very poor surface. 23:30, 'Philosophical Day' yes, and agree Thomas!

    @@BrateTebra123 actually the ground clearance is not that great as its marketed. It says about 18 cm, but because you have that intermediate exhaust element between the doors (2:10), your actually ground clearance is about 15 cm, which makes is quite lame. Also, another point to keep in mind is that this current model lacks the digital cluster that CR-V and Civic has; more to that it even lacks the adaptive cruise control. And this is only for the EU market. Such a disappointing car in my book, particularly with the oil dilution issue of the 1.5 Turbo engine. I'm a Honda Civic gen. 8 hatchback driver which would want to move on to the small SUV segment, but I think the HR-V is not there yet. Peugeot 3008 seems to have way better everything compared to the HR-V, apart from the magic seats and for approximately the same price (31 K €) - a real 22 cm ground clearance - adaptive cruise control - a better automatic transmission (Aisin) - more cargo space - 520 L - a better interior design - a better infotainment system - a better driver display cluster

    Can't wait until they offer the 1.5 liter turbo engine in the HR-V here in the US market! The HR-V's weak and unresponsive 1.8 liter engine offered in the US market is the ONLY reason I have not bought a HR-V! I have contacted Honda here in the US to recommend they remedy this oversight. Keeping my fingers crossed that they introduce a mid-year 2020 turbo HR-V model OR add the 1.5 liter turbo engine option to their Sport trim and above configuration HR-V model lineup in 2021 as they do with the Accord model here in the US. To all my peeps living here in the US that would love to see this happen, let's make some noise by contacting Honda, suggesting they offer the turbo engine option here in the US!

    Hello Thomas, what should I choose from this HR-V with CVT and the new Peugeot 2008 1.6 PureTech EAT8 ? I already own a Honda Civic Mk. 8 from 2008 and I wish to go for these mini SUVs. I'm comfortable with the stiff suspension that both of these cars had, but I'm more interested in the soundproofing performance, since the Civic has almost none... after quite some time spent on highways I feel that the engine sound is a bit louder at 130-140 km/h in my Civic...

  • @ivo4357
    @ivo43574 жыл бұрын

    it looks a bit dated to me. The infotainment system looks like an I-Phone 1, the steering wheel looks too simple for a 'sport' trim, the big speedometer seems to come out of a truck and the exterior does not look sporty at all. But probably in practicality this car will be hard to beat, and it would surely last at least 10 years without any problem. So the 'utility' part is fulfilled, the 'sport' not so much for me. A harder (uncomfortable) suspension and a decent acceleration to me is not enough to give me the sporty feeling, the look and feel both outside and inside don't make me want to go on a joyride.
