How to replace a motorcycle chain with a rivet style master link.
NOTE:
If your chain is too tight or too loose it will wear out faster and could damage other things in the process. Make sure to keep your chain clean, lubricated, and within the suggested slack range.

Nice video. In my experience it is always important to change the triptych (chain, sprocket and crown) because if you change only the chain, high risk to wearing it out irregularly.

I would typically agree but these sprockets only had 400 miles on them and looked brand new. Decided to just do the chain this time.

Yes, apparently it is. They call it a floating front sprocket but I had never seen one before either.
... Great video!! I bought the same bike (a lightly used 2021) on 5/31/23. Subscribed with a bell. Why not use a master link for easy removable if you need to take it off? I rode from 1969 - 1985 and all my chains had master links. Is it now the norm NOT to have master links? Maybe it eliminates the possibility of having the master link failure on rally, dual sports and ADV bike while out on the trail? Thanks, . Jeff .

A clip style master link should be fine for this bike. I have heard rivet style is recommended for bikes 500cc and up. I did a rivet link on this bike because the owner requested it, but I don't remember if he had a specific reason for it.
What did you use to clean the grease of the new chain?

Load of rubbish. Kerosene on the chain removes and dilutes the grease. Second, do not use a tape measure, use a steel ruler on the swing arm, NOT the chain guide and measure to centre of the link. All of this is in the Honda owners manual. This guy is talking rubbish.......

The owners manual says to use kerosene for cleaning the chain. Honda is not alone on this. Grease is sealed inside the chain with o-rings. If your o-ring seals have gone bad, the grease will be flung out at speed. No need to worry about diluting grease that doesn't exist anymore. Once the o-rings start to fail, the chain will need to be replaced. A discussion on where to measure the chain has already been covered in the pinned comment.
