Honda Civic EXTREME Engine Bay Detail | Like NEW Again!
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Engine Bay Detailing to the EXTREME! In today's video, my neglected Honda Civic Engine gets its deepest and most satisfying detail to date. Plenty of beautiful ASMR shots with a like new transformation. Kick back and relax while I do the work, enjoy!
The engine bay on my Honda Civic Coupe has been embarrassingly dirty for a guy that likes clean things. So today I bring you along for an OCD level of detailing to transform this engine bay back to new. Since I've made a video on a FILTHY engine bay with the white civic, I knew I had to give this one an even deeper clean. My main focus was to degrease and scrub the engine block and transmission to remove years of grime and oil seepage. From there it was a matter of getting brushes into ALL the nooks and crannies. Topping it off with steam cleaning and a water based dressing was the cherry on top.
Detailing new cars with engine plastics is pretty safe and easy, but older Honda's need a little more care. For this I made sure to bag anything that could be harmed by pressure washer detailing. Using a steamer to detail those areas is my prefered method and turned out great! My biggest advice is to take your time, have plenty of brushes, and work in a shaded area. Needless to say, I'm proud to show off my engine bay the next time someone asks to "pop my hood."
Here's some of the stuff I used in today's video!
Nylon Brushes: amzn.to/39jeF6G
Detail Factory Brush: amzn.to/3KuyHrP
Boars Hair Brush: amzn.to/3F2yOKc
EZ Clean Detail Brush: amzn.to/3F2pN3T
Optimum Power Clean APC: amzn.to/3s5eJ0m
Magic Wheel Cleaner: amzn.to/3Lvb0B0
Hyper Dressing: amzn.to/3F3cvUy
McCulloch Steam Cleaner: amzn.to/3F8DaPR
Creature Microfiber Towels: amzn.to/3KuzNDX

Just looking at this car brings me back. Back to circa 2000-2005. Those were the days. Amazing car sir, and great work. Making me want to do my engine bay again on my 10th gen.
This is crazy. I was just thinking about cleaning my engine bay and then I got notification for this video 😍❤️

That outro still gets me! Love to see how far the car has come! Great work man
One of the first nice days this spring I did a deep clean on my Del Sol bay. I went savage mode and didn’t bother covering anything, it wouldn’t start until the next day. This came out so good, just think how nice a turbo would look in there

The callout at the end made me smile with shame🤣 My 2000 Coupe and 97 Sedan both need lots of love. I'll wash and vac the 97 daily today. Engine bay will have to wait for crazy detailing but I'll give her a decent spray down.
Looks amazing! Very clean engine bay. Nice one Anthony.👍🏽

Pulled my engine and took it apart to clean it. Then replaced all gaskets in the engine, scrubbed and reclear costed all bolts, nuts, and screws. Then reassembled the motor to all torque specs from factory. Please replace your radiator hose clamps. Dixon makes some awesome band type clamps. Also, bigger ground wires makes quite the difference on these engines.

I heard it’s safer to shower rinse your engine bay. You Don’t risk water getting threw and doing any damage to your electrical components and sensitive areas. So I always went that route, Great video!
I like how simple and clean this EJ8 is with just an intake/headers/exhaust, but I did the same thing at first with my EJ8 coupe with a freshly rebuilt JDM D15B VTEC and it was way too slow. I ended up putting together a cheap turbo kit for it, and I went with a P28 OBD1 ECU that I socketed and chipped with a Crome tune. Even with a cheap eBay 50 trim turbo, eBay turbo manifold, eBay external wastegate, HKS BOV, DSM 440cc injectors, and tuned to 8 psi it pulled hard enough to take out modified WRXs, Cobb equipped Mazdaspeed 3s, and bolt on SRT4s. Then I went B series and it was considerably more torquey. I still have that car, but now it has a fully built LSVTEC and currently makes 709 wheel horsepower on it's current tune. It will drive just like a normal car if you stay out of boost, but as soon as boost hits it'll spin all the way into 5th gear with a GSR trans with a modified OBX LSD.

My Redline is way overdue for engine bay detail. The outcome on your Civic looks great Anthony. Speaking of beer, the lady and I really enjoyed Payette last year. If you're ever up in the Spokane area try out Lumberbeard Brewing! I know Matt speaks highly of Hyper Dressing so I may give it a shot on the daily and use Motorplast on the IRL for comparison.

I've used this sprayer several times now on brick pavers, a wood deck, patio, and a driveway. kzread.infoUgkx43QMbQqu67IZadu9ou8Sg1BdrunMRNqX It has performed as expected on all surfaces. For larger areas like the decks and patios, I think I will be looking into a surface cleaner attachment to speed up the job, or at least make it a little easier. Hose and sprayer connections are tool-less, tight, and quick. I used the yellow nozzle on the concrete/brick surfaces, and the pressure was adequate for cleaning those surfaces.I am disappointed that these units are still being shipped with a nozzle storage holder that allows them to vibrate out of the holder way too easily and become lost, but I don't want to knock off a star for that reason. The functional part of the washer works very well, so I would recommend this product.
Go k!!!
