    Just did my 2018 EX. Good video. I used the little square caliper tool & simple compression tool. This video is worth the watch simply because of that pesky screw trick, worked great. However I was sent the wrong rotors so I had to lightly sand the dings I put in the rotor off & put it back together as is with the old pads. Didn't want to risk ruining my new pads on a less than perfect rotor. They're shipping the correct ones on Monday. Should've matched 'em up before I started, live & learn. Thanks for the tricks.

    You dont have to remove the actuator. You just turn the piston until it stops and then compress like a regular caliper.

    I wish I saw this comment 2 days ago. My second piston wouldn't rotate in and I tried everything over several hours trying to twist it back in enough to fit over the pads; since the driver's side had no issue retracting. Put the tools away 4 times before I found a video using the c-clamp to get it 2 millimeters back. Was cake after that

    @@haloreach7 Did you also jump the EPB like in the video? The reason I ask, is because I didn't jump mine, and just turned the piston/compressed it like on my 9th gen Si with the car in neutral/no EPB engaged. It ended up ruining both calipers and actuators

    Put a tiny bit of grease on that spring bracket and front of the brake caliper here fighting with it may not help but it may help can't tell till you try that was too easy when you put the original one on go to the Honda dealer and just buy a OEM replacement spring for the front of the brake caliper my car and a couple dollars more but it may save you a half hour worth of your time and headache and busting your hands up

    RE: rusted rotor lip… Before you try to slide off the calliper from the rotor, spray some penetrating oil between the pads touching the rotor, should slide off much much easier without needing to pry. That’s what I did anyway :P Thnx for your helpful video :)

    Alright, I did one side on the rear last night and am doing the other side right now(it got too dark) but I had a question. After using the 9mm to pull the piston back…can it just be left like that and when I use the brakes it will adjust itself back?

    Yes u can leave it like that once ur all completed put the first press the brake peddle several times then put the parking brake on few times on off on off it will find it’s way back to its calibrated spot

    @@ericg8822 yeah no problem!! Take ur time when ever u do it and make sure u put the connectors back and they click I had few people whole forgot to put one is and they messed me back and I told them to check it was loose connectors

    I just installed these same pads and rotors, same vehicle, now im hearing like a rubbing/scraping noise at low speeds slowing down, i followed every step you did. Can it be pads wearing in maybe ? Did this happen to you

    After removing the brake caliper motor Is the socket you tighten before pushing the piston 8 mm torque or 9 mm torque?

    I don’t have prices like that. But I do know rear calipers run for like $700 each that’s not labor part only I can only imagine and say over all job like $3k

    what if the driver side brake is stuck? " when finished and calibrating"says parking brake issue? press and hold to release. but not doing anything? driver side wheel locked?

    Nevermind bro... I forgot to plug in the rear passenger side Ebm cable!! lol. I plugged it back in finished up, tried re- calibrating it and it worked. Driver side then released, test drove it.. everything's fine. I thought I fucked up for a second? lol Thanks anyways.

    I didn’t understand if I had to have the parking brake on or off but I took off the caliper then got in my car and stepped on the brake to remove the parking brake and it leaked out fluid now I got a sinking pedal what can I do to fix it?

    Ur not suppose to press the brake with caliper offf The cylinder popped out now u got bigger trouble u might have to replace the caliper and bleed it try putting the cylinder back

    Why do u have light on dash? Was that light there prior to doing brakes? Check ur connectors if they r plugged in and hopefully u didn’t strech the wiring

    No need to change fluid first of before u can flush ur brake system regularly I would do it at 60k miles

    You just need to apply 12 V to the connector. No need to take it apart and turn by hand.

    I would do 7v yes I did video using 12volt but I take that back 7v is fine and safer so this is another video diffrent way to do it. Got both ways covered

    @@RBTheMechanic why 7 volts? The factory operates around 14.5 volts. Using the 12 volts from the battery when the car is off is lower than the factory running voltage

    BE SURE to carefully remove the clip on the wiring harness. I damaged mine and with diagnosis, parts, labor, and not including time ...was about a $200 mistake

    What’s the name of the clip that is there I forgot to disconnect mine and the clip stayed on but the cables came off and all I did was put it back into the holes not sure if I did it wrong my breaks work but my light on my dash stays on the break light and the break system

    @@andresyt03sg6 see if AutoZone or somewhere can do free diagnostics on it. Because I didn't put my car in maintenance mode or jump the E.P.B.,..... I ended up destroying the right wiring harness, both actuators, and both calipers. So much for saving money 😅

    Geez man... next time put the screwdriver in the middle against the far brake pad and push in the brake piston a little. The brake caliber will come off no problem.
