    Agree. My first was a CBR600F 109hp. 8 years later, went up to CBR1000RR Fireblade, then another year later, went back down to CBR600F. Just before christmas, I bought a CBR250R. Yes 250cc! Love it!!

    Excellent video and amazing machine! 👍 It's funny hearing you say how heavy your CBR650R is lol... I have a really heavy 650... It's a Suzuki GSX650F, and it weighs 531 pounds, or 240.85 KG - (Wet)! I had no problem with it right from the start. It's my first bike as well, though I've owned 80-500cc dirtbikes from the time I was 13 right up until last year at age 43 when I sold my KX500 and bought my GSX650F. I'll subscribe after this comment. Cheers, -Chris

    Just bought a 23 cbr650r - my second bike but also my “lifetime bike”. It’s incredibly versatile as it certainly could be considered a first bike for someone mature enough but it also has 155+ top speed! I did a lot of research and “need” evaluation before buying. While the cb650r (naked version) is indeed a bit more comfy and upright the cbr is about as comfortable as you can get on a sport bike. If you’re going to be exclusively “in town” the naked bike might be the way to go. But if you’re going to do a lot of freeway riding where you’ll need an “extended cruising speed” of 75 to 85+ you might want the cbr. While they have the same engine they aren’t “geared” exactly the same and the fairings do make a difference as well. Hope you have a great experience!

    I've got this bike. The first thing I did was put on some S22's and swap out the standard shock & springs for a HyperPro combikit. Those two things improved handling so much, for not much. Don't waste your money on an exhaust.

  • @RideLikeAsh

    I personally think it handles pretty good but that’s just my opinion, I can imagine by changing them bits you sore some good improvement. 1 good advantage of changing the exhaust is reducing the weight as it will be at least half of the weight of the original exhaust

  • @The.JZA.
    @The.JZA.6 ай бұрын

    I think a heavy bike makes it more stable which is nice when you are cruising at 110km/h. The bike is unphased by the wind or bumps and kinda just plows though. Also a little smoother over bumps. It's the same thing comparing a 25kg ebike to a 15kg pedal bike.

    this bike is giving me way more confidence that I should have lol... I got rid of the stock tires before I even took out her from the dealership, I told them to change the tyres to Road 5 (I bought them too) because I read that those Dunlops are crap. Never had any slip even in wet road. Weird cuz the CBR500R comes with Road 5 as stock. I think the ABS is a but too sensitive , and when you let the throttle at high rpm it vibrates like hell on the handlebars, maybe this is why I am having numb hands all the time :D

    If your sensible enough you will be absolutely fine, it’s only as quick as you make it. If you own a car it can probably do 140mph but doesn’t mean you drive that quick.
