Duke maybe the king of the segment. It surely is the most powerful, but you just can't ignore the Honda. The top notch build quality and durability is still unmatched. Even though i love the Duke, I'd go for the 300r anyday. The design of the 300r isn't all that appealing at first sight, it'll surely grow on you with time. What I understood from the many post, BMW: Damn it's BMW i want one not Mmeeee(for show off types). Honda : it's bloody reliable (they just ride don't abuse for me Honda is most fragile: the Indian version)for typical rider who just want a two wheeler in the name of reliability ,but I need to enjoy not to bother about service bills . KTM: riders will trash it abuse it, extract maximum out of it(liable to break down : will be very practical individuals). Someone will never understand why, still it will outsell both.

Test ride both Duke 390 and CB250, I strongly suggest the Honda if you're looking for a daily ride. It's powerful enough, and refinement + reliability level way above the KTM.

I' m 62 years old. I've had a Honda 750cc for years. Brought a BMW 310R. No KTM dealer close to me. Got a better deal on the BMW over the Honda. It's so light it reminds me of my first bike. 1974 Kawasaki 100cc. Quick bike, lots of fun. Wish it's exhaust note was better. But I read if I change the exhaust I would void the warranty. Anyone want to buy a 1975 Honda 750cc Café Racer?

Same age here and just started riding again, the KTM is definitely a fine bike, but that headlight kills it for me. I'm either going with BMW or the Honda, it's all about the deal. Enjoy!

Nice review guys. There is no clear winner IMO. As an ex KTM owner I'm really inclined towards the 390 but the CB 300R is also peaking my interest when I think about the ease of ownership and Honda's reliability. BUT in my experience the KTM service team can give more attention to your motorcycle since there are less bikes coming in for service at a given time compared to Hondas. BMW is not really bringing anything new to the plate other than its brand image. The 310 GS on the other hand offers something the competition (Himalayan) lacks in terms of power and practicality but it's a whole another segment compared to these machines. I think I need to test ride the Honda.

Upgraded from RC200 to CB300r n i am glad i did ! I sold off my RC at just 12k kms on the odo , the reason being the engine roughness after few thousand kms on the odo and the bike's handle got too stiff to turn .. It felt like a a bike with over 40k kms on odo after just 12k kms !!! This shows the quality of the engine n the other components are lacking in KTM not sure if that has changed now. Note: Don't expect the CB300r as butter smooth as the CBR250 but it's miles ahead from the likes of KTM n BMW. Do take a test drive n share your opinion if possible :)

@@suchinpati5601 Funnily enough I did 26k kms on my RC and even the mechanics at KTM used to praise how smooth mine was compared to the rest. :P Yes I expect the Honda to be really smooth. I'm used to KTMs and REs so engine vibration isn't an issue for me as long as the body panels don't rattle >_

Awesome video my first choice will be 1. Honda because of built quality and daily usage and if hope they provide panniers or luggage accessories with it. 2. KTM is powerful, great features and impressive but when it comes to daily usage it lacks that..And I think KTM should provide new colour scheme to attract more customers 3. BMW is great but pricing will be the main issue. I hope all this companies are providing accessories with them like panniers, luggage bags and all because people not ride there bike in cities they want to go on long routes as well so this factor will also play a big role when customer goes out to buy new bike these days
