In this video I go over how to diagnose a bad pickup coil and go over replacing one when you can no longer buy the entire wiring harness. Troubleshooting is very easy once you understand the entire path and what you are looking for at each part. The actual replacement is pretty straightforward after you pull the new pickup coil and wires through the wiring harness.
Parts Required:
RICKS MOTORSPORT ELECTRICS - Trigger Coil - Part Number 21-518v
Tools Required:
Multimeter (Capable of Volts DC and also Ohms)
In-line Spark Plug Tester (Alternatively use a Screw Driver as demonstrated in the video)
1⁄4" drive
3", 6" 1⁄4" extension
1⁄4" drive 8mm and 10mm socket
