Firstly can I thank you for your excellent KZread videos I thoroughly enjoyed all of them, Particularly the ADV 350 ones. I noticed your comment in the video about the strange noise!! I had something similar although never hearing yours I can't be exactly sure but they're the same but it was there on tick over and acceleration and it was driving me up the wall. I kept looking and checking even popping into the dealership like yourself and getting nowhere, then I realise that the numberplate is only mounted at the top and resonates against the bottom of the plastic mudguard/whatever it is, having stuck a bit of sponge in there the problem seems to have solved itself, I noticed that you said yours was quite a metallic sound and I know that European numberplates are pressed aluminium so might be worth just having a little look to see if this is your problem. Either way thanks very much for your great KZread input keep up the good work and thank you.

Thanks for your very comprehensive review, most of which I agree with. I’ve had my ADV350 since March and have barely covered 1,000 miles. During that time the bike has averaged 78.8 mpg. I don’t find the exhaust noise annoying. In fact, I think it sounds better than most scoots. Nor does the weight bother me, being 50Kg lighter than my previous Honda Integra. But I do agree with your comments on the very harsh non-adjustable shocks that, on rubbish UK roads, tend frequently to buck me out of the saddle. I also agree that a top box spoils the look of a bike, but I’ve fitted a GIVI one to mine to take a peaked helmet that won’t fit under the seat. Another annoyance is the hard to access USB-C port in the dark recesses of the unlockable glove box with no way you can run a cable from within to, say, your phone on the handlebars. Nevertheless, the bike is an enjoyable ride and quite capable of holding its own on any ride out with all sorts of other bikes.

Hi RM, always a good day the day you post a new video. I’ve had a Forza 300 for a little bit over 2 years now, love the space under the seat, the "mileage" (I live in Austria, we don’t do miles here 😊) and that wonderful windscreen, that’s why I would have gone with the Forza 350. I went on a test drive for a couple of hours on a adv 350 a couple of months ago, and have to tell you, I'm just not convinced about the whole adv look for a scooter, the rear suspension which looks it can do more, but it’s worse then the one on my Forza and (an absolute deal breaker for me), that joke of a windshield, which doesn’t offer lot of wind protection and cannot be set on the fly, like you also said… Nope, not for me, my next scooter will be a Honda Forza (probably 400 or 450 by the time I would want a new scooter, due to the ever changing regulations here in the E.U. 🥱). Take care and look forward to a new video from you! 🖖🏼

Interesting review thanks, here are some thoughts on my ADV350 that may be useful for others, i have owned mine for nearly 5 months. Plus points Handling / stability a major plus compared to other scooters i tried. Well worth the price, good build, with no issues so far. Fuel consumption from new averaging 85 UK mpg (mixture of 2 up fully loaded touring miles and runs in rural areas - no town ridding) - this is gradually getting better and i think its helped by using the higher graded fuels. Love the smart top box, i'm hooked on the practicality / life style it enables, plus the wife loves it as a back rest - and yes i did not like the looks initially! Performance is always adequate and suits the vehicle, impressive as my reference is a motorcycle with 5 times the power. Very commanding road presence other road users probably think you are touring motorcycle. Minus points Wind shield creates turbulence that is unpleasant for my head position, best in its lowest setting. I have to wear ear plugs as i'm sensitive to noise in general. Engine noise, LOL at your comments, funny i took my bike back to the dealer to check the transmission noise was ok - and yes its an acquired sound that i'm slowly starting to accept. Brakes, just adequate for the performance (and yes a wooden feel), lets face it if a bike can sit 2 up at 70mph quite happily why would you want just adequate - i talked to my dealer about pad options but they were very anti using anything other than OEM parts due to the potential impact on ABS performance / calibration. Not sure about this, will no doubt try other pads sometime. Rear suspension, yes its firm although this probably also helps the handling that i like, i guess you have to make compromises with scooter design (engine weight attached to rear wheel / suspension). Pot holes need to be avoided particularly with a passenger as they get it worse, and yes i agree the damping improves for the rider when 2 up. When the roads are wet the engine area gets plastered, obviously this applies to any bike that does not have an adequate rear hugger, but it is worse than i had hoped for. Overall I am still confident this is the best 2 wheeled vehicle I could have purchased for the money, the practicality, looks, fun factor and general feeling of well being when riding the ADV are impressive. Question - what wind deflector are you using and how much of a difference does it make to improving any turbulence - did you try removing your screen altogether?

I was sold on the ADV over the Forza for three main reasons. Better suspension for my 250 lbs. Better ergos for my tall 6'2" frame. Wide handlebar. The fairing doesn't bother me, but I added an extension to relieve buffeting around my head. My review is from Thailand where it's sold and the weather ranges from hot to very warm,, lol Cheers.

Just bought one, fairly happy and agree with most of what you said. Coming from a KTM Super Adventure this is small, nimble and easy to move around though :-). Will be interesting to see how the wind protection, or lack thereof, will work in the Norwegian autumn.. Two other small annoyances - the usb-port is awkward to get to (and don't provide enough power to my sp connect wireless charger), and it should have had a proper keyless system for the fuel..

I just posted a comment on your Vision 110 review from 4 yrs ago that I was considering buying a PCX again or maybe ditching my car & buying a 350 Forza or ADV. Well having watched this video I can safely say that I'm now discounting the ADV! Seeing one close-up in the dealer's showroom is one thing, buy seen from a distance (as some of the shots in your video show), it's a bit of a beast. It is indeed the SUV of scooters.... good for 'road presence' but it's not doing it for me. Thanks for helping me narrow the field. 😎

I'm inclined towards the Forza 350 & will probably spend the next 2-5 yrs having both it & the car.(winters in Scotland's central belt can be quite chilly & the roads are a disgusting mess of potholes & salt so not conducive to keeping a bike in decent condition). I then plan to move back to the south of England or possibly abroad & am looking forward to being able to give up my car & having 2 wheels as my sole form of transport. When I bought my Picanto at the start of June I said to my family that it was going to be the last car I owned. 😎☀️🌴🛵

Interesting review. I bought a new SH125i Mode in June 2022 as my first scooter, it so impressed me I bought the SH350i a couple of weeks later. I believe the SH350 shares an engine with the ADV350 but is 18kg lighter. I get 82 mpg (UK gallons) which I think is 3.4 litre/100 km. The rear suspension has pre-load adjustment but I ride it solo and even on its softest setting it's too harsh. I've done 7500 miles on the bike but the suspension hasn't eased up. I like the brakes, they don't require much force and bring the speed down quickly. The OEM rear tyre lasted 5800 miles which is way more than I get out the tyres on my conventional motorcycles. The 350 is rather nimble, probably a shorter wheelbase than your ADV, for very nimble have a go on a 125 Mode. The SH350 can cover ground quite quickly when the need arises (or I fancy a bit of hooligan riding), as you point out the speed picks up quite well when pressed - I don't hear the annoying noise you describe though. I live in Mid Wales so my rides don't usually involve much urban stuff. I'm sold on twist and go but will keep the conventional bikes for reasons so far unclear to me - probably the suspension (or ribbing from friends). I took the 125 Mode on a 1000 mile tour last week, it did everything asked of it - including scuttling up the Wrynose and Hardnott passes faster than it should have done. I confess I've looked at the ADV350 as it's rather pretty, but after watching your review I suspect my visually pedestrian SH350 might still be the better choice,

On my Old Honda Forza I will add an 2 Adjustable rear shocks to reduce the mushy rear end with a passenger or groceries in the rear box! I’m changing out the Perelli‘s after eight years they are not worn out. They are just old rubber, which would make them hard, So I would lose grip. I am putting on Michelin tires with the rear tires, one size wider, like I did with the Perelli‘s because of all the weight on the rear end. 150/70 x 13” I like your ADV Wheel size much better! I like the ADV front suspension much better as well! Thank you so much for your very detailed honest review. I really don’t like the sound of my scooter, and I think the only thing that would improve it would be to make this a two cylinder then we would lose gas mileage. One good video reviewer stated if you changed to free-flowing exhaust you will just make the crappy sound louder. He’s absolutely correct. I’ve had my Forza 9 years and Love it! It looks like it’s 2 years old. I’ve driven all over the mountains of Thailand with a Full GIVI Windshield which protects me from the heat, blasting at me in the daytime, and in the evening the big windscreen protects me from all the bugs in the farm lands! And if I am on lucky and don’t time it right, I get behind it when it’s raining and the rain goes right over the top of my head and my chest and body is dry except for my legs they get soaked take care, enjoy Portugal.

Interesting to notice that rear suspension and windshield is what I complained about mmy 2015 PCX 150cc, resolved it with GIVi talllest screen and a YSS rear suspension. About fuel consumption I changed my rollers from etandard round rollers to dr.pulley sliders, got slightly better fuel consumption, better acceleration, better top speed and engine sounds better too though I find weird why aliders wierd change the bike sound. I ride a Honda SH125i and do food delivery part time, as I'm semi retired. Got the SH May 2021 and just approaching 34,000 miles. I picked it due to the 16 inch wheels and many pot holes. I also have the large honda screen. I'm going to do the A2 and may consider ADV 350. The fact you say it's heavy is a serious consideration as I get on and off my bike a lot. I manage 200 miles on a tank on my SH, but it does hold more than the 7 litres stated. I sometimes do 4 minutes on a motorway, it does between 60 and 65 mph depending on wind conditions. I find the suspension on my SH a bit on the hard side, it's much nicer ride when the bike is loaded up with groceries, in the top box, under the seat and the flat floor . Will test this bike once I have my A2.

Hi Rocket Man, I do enjoy your reviews and have recently gone from a CB500X 2022, which I loved to a new Forza 350 due to getting too weak, old and frail to handle tall, weighty and difficult to move bikes (I had all the extras fitted for lengthy touring). You mention the glove box in the ADV 350 is not lockable, but I discovered that the one on the Forza locks when you engage the steering lock. Not a lot of people know that, not even my dealer until I told them. 😇. I suspect the ADV 350 is the same. I have one on order but got the Forza as a stop gap as the wait for the ADV is beyond Christmas in the UK 😟.

Thanks. I felt the same about the noise the Tmax 530 DX makes in all rev ranges between low 3000s and high 4000s. I took it back to the dealer to get my money back when I had had it for a week. @@RocketMan_Moto Thanks for replying. not as practical as a scooter? Fair enough, except when it comes to maintenance, when a scooter needs all sorts of body parts, easy breakable, taking off so you can get to the bits that matter. I maintain my own work scooter, a Honda PCX150, and there are lots of jobs that require body panel removal, unlike most equivalent jobs on a "bike." Ever done a valve check/adjust on a scooter other than a step-through? Right pain in the arse. I get your point, though.

I find a rev counter on my Xmax 300 very useful for economy riding, if i keep my revs below 5k & closer to 4 then i get some impressive MPG, if i couldn’t see the revs it would make it a lot harder to ride economically. I assume that’s why my Xmax & this Adv have the prominent rev counter display.

Thanks for your review. I am owner of the red ADV350 with smart top box from march and i can the say the following. 1. No problem with noise for me 2. I agree that brakes could be better but its not a big issue 3. Seat height you have right its high enough.i am 1.78cm 4. Smart top box its big but the combination with keyless make it so practical that makes it ideal for me 5. Rear Suspension is very good comparing with other scooters, not bikes. But please note that its very hard on the first 200-300km. 6. Front suspension is much better than scooters, its a bike suspension actually.Thats why its better than Forza. 7. Wind protection its good, maybe not so good than Forza but you gain the front bike system, and bike bar, so you cannot have all in this life! 8. Storage under seat is very good, the only negative is that you cannot lock the front glovebox 9. Honda roadsync coonection is very poor 9. Dashboard for me its good, especially his position in front and up comparing to others. 10. MY NUMBER ONE problem and complaint is the seat hardness and position. Its very hard and tiring at first.Secondly for my height at least, i must rise the bar to be in upper position, to have more comfortable driving. As a conclusion: its the best scooter in 300-350cc category without thinking money as a factor bcz its really expensive.

You nailed your intro. And the rest of the video is up to the usual quality. Thank you for keeping your standards. Not much to say about the 350 Scooters from Honda, went with the Yamaha ones instead. Brakes are ok if I`m genorous, the size of the underseat storage is comparable, I haven`t a particular plush suspension eighter, but my 286 cc single is adequate, and it only needs 2.7 Liters/100 km. And no metalic whine, just a small capcity engine making some scooter noises. The chassis is pretty stable in corners and it runs 140 km/h without any problem. In the end pretty comparable to the Forza`s in my book, but the better fuel consumption and the chance to buy one second hand with low mileage gave it the edge over the Honda.

Hey, about the noise the cvt’s making, i think its similar to its little brother, adv 150. The noise come from poorly designed outer comp clutch that does not let dirt come out. So it piled up and grind on the outer comp clutch. Alternate solution 1 would be to open and clean it regularly. Or alternate solution 2 is to replace it with performance ones with hollow opening to let the dirt out. Or solution 3, like me, make several holes on the comp clutch. Has worked fine for the past 50k kilometers for me. Hope this helps.

You are destroying my illusion of the ADV 350 being the perfect scooter for me. My 650 Burgman is too heavy for the commuting this 70 year old American. My Burgman 200 was closer to perfection than the 650 but the seating felt cramped despite my 5’8” height and 29” inseam. I find it hard to understand why the biggest number on the instrument panel of both Suzukis is the ambient temperature or the average MPG. Looking down at the dash and see 95 (temperature) is annoying. Not many options here in the States for midsize scooters. The only new 300cc scooters in the Tampa Bay area are Vespas which carry a premium price for questionable quality and reliability. Another great review and video. Amazingly, it easily kept up with traffic on A roads and was exceptionally stable even on the narrowest of C and D roads. In short, it was an absolute pleasure and I had a ball. No regrets at all not buying something bigger. 200cc was incredibly capable and makes a huge difference up from 125 cc.

Hi I have just bought a SH350 for our motorhome as it fits in the motorhome garage, previously filled by a Kawasaki 900rs. This was a great bike but not so good pillion comfort and was a faff wearing all the gear. So we opted for a scooter, thus saving weight and having on board storage. The SH with the larger wheels appealed to me, as my wife has a 125lx Vespa which didn’t fit in said garage. I wanted more power for two up riding, the Sh is smaller and narrower than its siblings but shares the same engine, it ticks all the boxes for holiday transport. Did you test the SH? What was your opinion?

Personally I hate them - too expensive for what you get, very difficult to get your feet down if shorter than 5 feet 9 inches, not very good economy, horrible sound as you say, and other maxi scooters are cheaper, more comfortable and also have more space under the seat. I know this would not suit you at your height, but for those who are medium to quite short, even the Suzuki Burgman 200 (now discontinued in most of Europe) is better at almost half the price, nearly as quick, more comfortable and gets close to 100 mpg at 75 mph constant.

I have owned a Monkey and a Grom. Once the novelty has worn off you realise they’re too big to be toys and too small to be useful. The ADV is waaay more practical, powerful and better for 2-up riding.

We don't really get the ADV150 in Europe. I believe the Italians get it, because of the law there regarding 150cc bikes, but the rest of Europe is limited to 125cc on a car licence, so people tend to get either that or much more powerful if they have a bike licence.

It's just that you bought the wrong bike. :o) What you should have done, if you had bothered asking me, would have been to pick a pre-2017 SH 300 for around 3.000 euros, swap the rear shocks for Öhlins (1.000 euros) and the front spring for some stiffer but more progressive aftermarket ones (280 euros installed) and fit a Givi Airflow, the windshield to rule them all (160 euros). And voilà: you would be living the Italian dolce vita in Portugal, which pretty much sounds like Nirvana to me. Also: if you still can hear your engine under acceleration, it means you are not riding fast enough. Go _faster_ , dammit! just in case: re- :o)

To limit the irritating noise, you could try to fit some sound proofing foam designed to go under the hood of cars and, yes, my old Aprilia Pegaso 650 as well (not an add-on, factory fitted). All this only if there is enough space left around the engine... and still some for ventilation, too. These foam pads can be purchased online at a very reasonable price. Cheers!
