    Thanks for video....I followed step by step. Even the breaker bar tip was needed and helpful. In fact breaker bar was important to take starter off.. while taking it off came across a loose cable which I think was causing problem....I pushed forward taking off the starter. Took it to auto zone. Checked out ok. Battery ok. Reinstalled everything and tightened all connections. Working great. Your video was helpful. I viewed it 10 times to make sure I could do it.....I did. It was the first starter I ever took off a car. Thanks again for making video. Oh and it was as quick as you said.

    Good idea you have to remove the battery and tray. 5 mins. for their removal/replace but provides for a lot more maneuvering room. Thanks for your video.

    Good stuff. I actually replaced mine a few years ago with aftermarket ones on amazon. I think the pair were 60 bucks? Took probably an hour to do, good luck with your repair!

    Maybe the lesson here is “do not buy remanufactured starters” 😆 I’m replacing mine for the very 1st time in 19 years with my accord, great video though, thanks for sharing and teaching us how to do it!

    That’s a great run, 19 years! I’ve had mixed luck with remanufactured starters. Totally agree with OEM or third party OEM if you can afford or get one. That car in the video made it 240k

    Easy, they are excellent cars. Very forgiving and plenty of parts available. If you’re already messing with starters, then you can take care of the rest. Good luck!

    Thank you! You saved me a whole lotta $$$$. Plus I am more confident in performing more maintenance on my Honda. One thing was that bottom bolt. Man that was a b*tch to get going, especially with the radiator fan shroud in the way. It took me using my foot and all of my weight!

    this is a bit off-topic but i see your car looks exactly like mine. how do i move those bar/pipe/valve things preventing me from replacing that TCC solenoid (the double one)? it seems to be metal and not sure how to bend/lift/move it out of the way to unbolt then replace that double solenoid out?

    Probably an issue with the ignition switch. There was a recall where the defective switch wouldn't send the right power amount and wear out the starter.

    It depends, that’s the extra coolant. It should contain some coolant unless your car has been running. I’d fill it back up with coolant between and max, then add more if you need it.

    Having a hard time with the bottom bolt there no room at all. Going from bottom has less room than the top. The top has fan in the way

    my car will start if i mess around with it allot. One day it started fine and now the starter wont turn the engine over without a fight. Is this the starter or something else? when i turn the key it makes one single noise and doesn't do anything, no continuous noises. my battery is good i already had that tested.

    This should be easy but I'm having problems replacing the bottom bolt. So a year or so I left it only with the top one. It was working fine but the top became loose. The hole on the engine lost the thread. I'm want to fix it right and replace that bottom bolt but it's so frustrating. I can't get it in there, making it stay and turn it. I'll try tomorrow. If I can't I will have to pay somebody with the experience or skill or tool or whatever to place a bolt in. Arrrggghhh

    Sounds like a stripped thread. Any mechanic shop should be able to retap that get in a different sized bolt. Good luc!

    No wonder your doing this every year your using cheap remanufactured crap. Quit being cheap spend the the extra 40 bucks and get an original. I did, and the ac delco is firing good for the last 5.5 years
