Honda 3.5L P1399 Check Engine Light FIX

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

If your check engine light on your Honda with a 3.5L is on with a P1399 code and a bunch of misfire codes, you better check this out! P1399 means multiple cylinder misfire. Often it's caused by ignition problems, but can also mean your valve lash adjustment is past due for service. Ignoring it can lead to all kinds of additional issues in your exhaust system from burned out exhaust valves & plugged EGR passages to a burned out catalytic converter. Also in this video is the PCV location, how to spot a misfire by reading the spark plug, and arc tracking on the ignition coils and when to replace them.

Like how you narrated the issue and how you show and compare so I can understand the differences. Your audio is wonderful and nice and clear.

Having the same issue, P1399 and random misfires on all cylinders on my 3.5 but only when it's colder than about 40f on cold startups. I guess I'll start with the EGR system, see if that clears things up. Maybe reseat an inspect the plug and coil connections. Spark plugs are newish, and I doubt I have any bad coils. Probably not a terrible idea to swap the coils, but I try to not fix things that aren't broken. It's not running that rough, but it messes with the VTM4 system so I have to warm up the car for 5-10 minutes and restart it if it's icy. At least I have a direction to go in, seems like a simple enough job. I guess another possibility is fuel injectors, probably should toss in a bit of cleaner into my next tank of gas.

I have a 2004 Honda odyssey that was running decent then started running bad and making noise. So probably should replace all coils?

So did you get rid of the codes and did the car started running good after the fact you changed that Coils and spark plugs. Did that work have the light? Pop out any time soon.. iam asking cause I have the same problem I changed everything like you said but ones again in a few days engine light is on why I ran out of ideas .... I'll start my car Cranks up, send my RPS starts going up-and-down until it goes all the way down and shuts off. So then I turn it back on. I give you some gas and I'll put it on reverse and quickly. Put it on drive and write out. But I wanna know why it does that shaking in the beginning when I always fill up my gas tank. Why does it do that if I've changed? Are my calls? What's bar plugs, my headers? Oh man done everything my gasket. Do you have any idea? What could be the cause of that problem Put it on drive and take off, anyone outther

Nice informative video! So I have basically the same problem with my 04 Honda odyssey. I replaced the plugs and cleaned out the intake as you did in the video but upon trying to start the car directly after it fails to start. Any ideas on what could cause this and how to fix? Thanks!

In addition to what you mention on Honda's, the valves get tight and can caused miss fires. The worst offender is the exhaust side!

P1399 is a random misfire. Replacing coilpack/spark/fuel injector will take care of that misfiring cylinder only. You didnt really fix a P1399. A true P1399 will have to involve fuel pressure delivery, timing and opening of valves. Hence, Random.
