Agreed. I absolutely adore my Father but, I sure wish he'd been equipped to teach me more than a good 'work ethic'. He's 84 and STILL working, and simply dumbfounded by my decision to drop out of the 'rat race' at 60 and pursue MY dreams.

Great thinking. I'm glad that God had opened my eyes to the same things in my 30s and kept me from some serious degenerative disease. And gave me the privilege to buy a decent piece of land for cash. I still got time to catch up with the program. Thanks for the inspiration.

It looks like the Deer don't bather your garden. Here in Oregon we have to fence every thing in. They love my Fig trees, fence them in or no figs or no fig trees. Love your Garden vary nice.

Deep mulched two raised beds with my daughter aged 8 this year. We planted a pumpkin we had grown from seed. We have never watered it or touched it. We have had 10 jack o lantern pumpkins each bigger than a soccer ball. We have kept two back for Halloween.

Congrats on the mulch experiment. Those peppers are something. The smaller ones look like hungarian wax. They would be nice stuffed and baked in the dutch oven. Boss another AWESOME VIDEO!!! Nothing I enjoy more than one of your video's!! I've watched a guy from Cal. and produces over 6000 lbs. of food per year with his home garden. He also mulched deep (18 inches) and found that by keeping the soil loose and moist his crop are growing more and more. Thanks Again for all you do for your viewers!! Outstanding Channel and always a pleasure to watch and you get me day-dreaming about my retirement, which could be any day but more than likely in 5 years time.
