Just got mine and cut up a decent size tree already with it. Cuts great. I found I was cutting larger limbs than you should because it was so much fun. I disagree with you on the feeling of quality compared to a Stihl or Husqvarna. The only reason it feels cheaper to you is because it’s lighter. also notice it has a 300HR emission engine compared to the Stihl and Husqvarna’s 125HR which is usually a sign of the quality of an engine. The new Echo saws are fantastic including my CS620PW and deserve more recognition.

They are the best,iv just muffler modded mine and run 3/8lp 043 full chisel chain 12inch stihl bar climb with it all day long, once you get use to it you can take down almost any size tree with it

Great little saws. Like you mentioned, the bar and chain is a major weakness. Try a narrow kerf setup. I highly recommend the Oregon 90px on a Woodland Pro 12 UM43. Very smooth and fast cutting. 45 drive links for the 12". Beware mixing Stihl chain on Oregon bars and vice versa. I've blown a few sprocket tips on the 1/4" stuff. The .050 should be ok, but not the narrow kerf. Good luck on your trails.

Jamison Timberfalling I’ve actually put the Stihl .043 bar and chain on it now and it’s much better. I’ll stick with the Stihl chain. Thanks for the heads up.

I wasn't sure which model I would like the 2511 top handle or the rear handle so I bought both, (cs 2511t) (cs 2511p). The rear handle is somewhat hard to find for some reason, but I like it better. I guess the rear handle is a few ozs. heavier but it is not noticeable. Maybe the top handle just takes time to get used to, whereas a rear handle just feels like every other saw I am used to.

I hope you didnt sell your 200t for less then 800$ the echo I'm interested in. But 020/200t is king of the crop. Most people let them go way to cheap fyi. Good review of the echo. This saw for the price is great. Seems cheap to me but if it lasts half as long as the 020t has for us. Ill be happy in the end carrying less weight. Thanks bud, like I said to good review. I hope the power (for me) isnt to much less than a 200t. I use these top handles now to pre commercial thin tree stands, and prune. No rear handle saw (so far) can keep up with one.

When you say ported, do you mean just the muffler mod? Or did you actually pull the cylinder out and open up the intake/exhaust/transfers?

Oh the handle-tops will still cut you if you don't sand them ;P And unsure if you modded yours or just deal with it but the spark plug door hits the plug-wire's boot EVERY time you use it, very stupid, you can grind the rear of this plug-door so it doesn't happen but was surprised echo let it out like that (have never seen such a thing on any of my other 3 Echo units)

Any time you modify a muffler or do port work you have to retune the carb. It’s been awhile so don’t remember cost but most of the saws that I had ported were around $250.

"Lightsaber" ROFL I use that analogy all the time Re my top-handles, and Re not using your larger saws when you have a competent 25cc oh yeah at the end of the day a tool that's nearly 10lbs, or over 10lbs, kills precision-- 6lbs, 5lbs, that's light enough a guy can actually wield it with high precision including 1-handed, this saw is a god-send especially for smaller, more 'hands on' type climbers like myself (I don't know why they didn't continue the palm-rest that the 355t has, LOVE it wish it came with a bigger option, but the 2511 didn't come with one....those make a HUGE difference in control when 1-handing, for obvious reasons, anyway to give myself a palm-rest AND to fortify the handle as you say it feels a bit chintzy, I used electric tape like one would use tape on a hockey-stick, on my grip and I put a rubber back-end 'donut' on it to give a much larger palm-rest than the 355t's, I can 1-hand w/ so much precision with it and the fact it's taped the handle together *does* make it noticeably 'firmer' feeling in that area of the body, I do agree I noticed the cheap feeling the second I picked it up, I am OK dropping my 355t or cs590 but the plastic on this 2511t is different w/o doubt, am still very curious (and afraid!) to find how resilient the casing/bodies are on these, I'm not the gentlest to my saws it's why I wouldn't buy a 151t(or 201t) even if they were comparably-priced, because they just can't take the hits a 360/330/355t can!! $359/369 MSRP in '19 eh? Thought they were 400 out the gate...I told myself I'd be frugal, wouldn't buy one until my 25cc (clone) climbsaw kicked the bucket but when that happened couple weeks back & I get to my dealer, psyched that @Al's Yard Arm had 2 units in-stock, but was blown away to find they have JUMPED the msrp, I paid nearly $500 with tax / out-the-door for mine, it's insane I don't think you can get

A while ago I modified the 10” stihl bar off of my pole saw to fit my echo and now run the stihl picco .043 gauge bar and chain. Cuts super smooth. I don’t think I’ll try the 1/4” pitch chain, I’m happy with the .043 stihl chain.

Enduro engineering makes a chainsaw mount that takes place of your headlight. Works great but it’s way overkill for such a small saw.

@@professionalpiddler1071 there a few with that mount and I agree it's overkill for the cs11. I seen a few throw it in a backpack. I'm wondering if I should look at the ports or stick with the muffler only as it's brand new and would be easy to work on.

Gary Scott One that’s homemade but I also have the Enduro Engineering mount and it works fine. I did have to drill two new holes for the EE mount since this saw is so narrow. There is a piece of hard plastic that the saw sits on and the mount comes with two mounting locations but I made a new location. It’s simple to do and will make sense when you see it.

*push the primer 6 times and let it rip I like the saw for the price👀 **allabout.wiki/Echo-CS** used maybe 10 tanks of fuel, 6 loads of hard wood and am very pleased with it. some will say its under powered for a 20" but I like it better then a 18". I have a 18" also which is great also just like the extra 2" inches. the saw is very light also which is nice. Huskavarna owns Echo so I am sure it will last. its not a sthl but still love it! I have seen some bad reviews on the saw but do not agree with them. some people told me not to waste my money but have since changed there mind. just have some common sense and cut some wood!*
