easier method=take the mint run it through a food processor which chops it very very fine-then add the oil and place in jars--more extract will come out of the mint then just tearing it. I also dry my mints first--then run in food processor to make=mint powders same with any herb.

would dried leaves work just as well? if you want to make sure the oil is covering the leaves would you NOT want to then shake after you took the time to make sure they are covered?
