    Hello. Firstly thank you for the awesome tips on this video! Is it possible to just use beeswax and VCO? Dont have any almond oil at hand

  • @LTMS

    @LTMS

    3 ай бұрын

    Hi, thanks for watching and commenting. I think with just vco it's fine, the only thing that might change is the density of the final product as coconut oil is solid if it's not very hot and might be a little more difficult to spread on the leather. Where I live, almond oil is easily available in any herbalist or shop that sells skin care products, sometimes you can also find it in the supermarket on the beauty product shelves, try taking a look.

    Does it harm my cars leather when parked under sunlight and please I'd like to know the exact amount t of each ingredient

  • @LTMS

    @LTMS

    2 ай бұрын

    in the video it is clearly explained that 1 part beeswax, 1 part coconut oil and 2 parts almond oil are used. This means that if you use 10 grams of beeswax you will need to use 10 grams of coconut oil and 20 grams of almond oil, if you use one ounce of beeswax you will need one ounce of coconut oil and 2 ounces of oil of almonds and so on... I used the parts on purpose. I use the conditioner for wallets, notebooks and small leather goods, never used for car seats that sit in the sun all day.

    May I ask, how much should I put if I were to include lanolin?

  • @LTMS

    @LTMS

    10 ай бұрын

    I know it is used in the production of shoe polish, but I prefer not to use it. Lanolin is mainly used in skin care products for its property of absorbing water and emulsifying it with oils in order to keep the skin hydrated. A leather conditioner should protect the leather from water while keeping it supple and nourished.

    Yes you can. Personally, for the car seats I would use neatsfoot oil because the surface of the seats is very large and it would cost a lot with the conditioner. Neat's foot oil is very convenient and is absorbed well within a few hours.

  • @LTMS

    @LTMS

    Beeswax is very compact, which is why it should always be mixed with oils before use. If your method works, use it, even if it seems very time consuming to me. If you heat the beeswax just once to make the conditioner, you will have an easy-to-apply product.
