Homemade Hydraulic Vise
Thanks to the use of hydraulic cylinder the vice is very and strong, the work is much faster and more comfortable. I powered the vise with a hydraulic pump driven by compressed air.

I modded my cheap-o harbor fright press to use a similar air/hydraulic pump and a salvaged ram - being able to use BOTH hands, and not have the whole mess jumping around while you're pumping is SO much of an improvement! I was pressing the bushings out of my 110lb leaf springs, and there's just no way I could have held it up AND pumped.
Very cool build, seen a few of these but your design is the most straight forward one seen and really considering this as a future project for our shop, thanks for the inspiration!!😎

Best video I've seen on KZread, genius!
I had a welding instructor when I was learning to weld in "83", he use to say " grinders and paint make a welder what he ain't" LOL. Your welds are good enough to not have to grind so much..,😎
Just excellent work. Here is a guy that who pays attention to detail and quality. Thanks for sharing this one!

You'd never know it was home made, excellent job sir.👍👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
I like that he kept the ram spring accessible. That's the most likely component to wear out first meaning being able to easily replace it will be handy. As long as the pressure vessel itself holds out this will probably last decades.
This is a great projects. Really impressed with how it functions and you have made it in a way a looks solid and not flimsy at all. Keep it up 👍
I really enjoy watching such videos. better than some movies.
