HOMEMADE CNC ROUTER.

Ғылым және технология

To build our CNC Mill we needed to create molds for the epoxy granite. To do so we built this 5x10 foot CNC router, and it works beautifully.

For example, what components did you use and what was your experience with it? What about the exhaust system? Nevertheless, happy to have found your channel

Could your design be modified to run on an existing workbench with a steel frame? Guide rails on each side fitted to the main structure. I don’t like that it lacks some functions such as auto threading (g84) but it’s easy to setup. Mach 3 is great and probably better for starting.

    @@ActionBOX Yeah the RichAuto B57 is about the same price as the Masso. I'll try the new controller and see how that works. Thanks for the advice. BTW - I'm on a QueenBee Pro machine right now (though if QueenAnt Pro was available when I was buying, I would have gone for that), and it's a decent machine for what it is, especially if you just need a machine that you can put together in a day for cutting out some parts and then either disassemble, or just have it pivot against a wall or something

    what the difference between a cnc mill and router. the router looked way easier than the mill

  • @ActionBOX

    @ActionBOX

    Жыл бұрын

    The mill is far more stiff so it can cut harder materials. A router isn’t really great for anything harder than aluminum. Plus milking machine spindles are generally much slower than routers as harder materials require more torque and lower rpm (feel free to read up on SFM). Hope that helps. Cheers, Dave
