HOMEMADE BOX MAC AND CHEESE WITH CHEDDAR POWDER

Most of us grew up eating boxed mac and cheese with that powdered cheese packet. Great taste! Great color! This easy homemade mac and cheese with cheddar powder brings back those memories of childhood.
Shopping List:
12 oz. bag of small elbow macaroni
1/4 cup milk
2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. kosher salt
3-4 tbsp. cheddar powder
Directions:
Cook the macaroni per package directions on the stovetop.
When the water comes to a rapid boil, add the salt and the macaroni. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
NOTE: I will cook my pasta in the Instant Pot. See video for those instructions.
In a small bowl, add the milk and the cheese powder. Mix well and set aside.
When the macaroni is done, drain BUT DO NOT RINSE!
Return the rinsed macaroni to the pot and add the butter and milk/cheese mixture. Mix well.
Add small amounts of cheese powder as desired to adjust the color to your liking.
Season to taste, serve and enjoy!

    Richard , very nice recipe & I prefer yours over the boxed. I wouldn't change a thing , plus the grand kids will love it as well as my wife and I, & the great kids like to put a sliced up hot dog in their's sometimes. Still praying for you every night & & you sound like you are feeling better ( emotionally & spiritually brother ), God Bless pal
