If you add Citric Acid (Vitamin C Powder), it’ll preserve your Aloe Vera Gel/Juice for longer. Citric Acid is a natural preservative. You can get at Whole Foods. Just a tip! 👍🏾

This sounds good, do you apply this to your hair and leave it in? If so how often do you apply it?
@The504sue
10 ай бұрын
@@dempress3549normally you leave it in for like 20-30 minutes. I usually leave it in while I do a bunch of stuff around the house, then I rinse it. But I like to leave a little in my hair, so I don’t rinse mine 100% I’m telling you. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, has ever made my hair as soft as aloe does. I condition my hair with aloe only, now. I’ve been doing this for about 2 months consistently every time I wash my hair. And my hair is super dry. I’ve never been able to find anything to work well. I’ve tried all different types of conditioners, natural conditioner. Aloe blew me away! I’m not sure if my hair had to detox or not. I’ve also been washing my hair with apple cider vinegar only for about a year. My hair definitely detoxed when I started that. ACV restored the PH balance. When you go natural for anything, your body detoxes all of the heavy metals & chemicals you’ve been putting into your body for years.
Thank you for not rambling for 5 minutes at the beginning btw

The aloe vera content is destroyed if you freeze it, it doesn´t tolerate the minus degrees, so I wouldn´t put it in the freezer if you want to save all to good content of the plant.
Love the way you separate the jell from the level thank you for sharing I have learned something new today
I love making aloe gel and watching it be squeezed out of a stocking is so satisfying🥰
Anytime we share we make the world a better place and sharing is magical. Thank you, you totally answered my question on how to strain Aloe Vera gel, good job.
I made aloe gel as a pre poo, it was amazing. Crazy slip and easy detangling. Added bonus it defined my hair like no other gel.
I make my own gel too but keep the pulp to mix with my night facial moisturizer that I keep in the fridge. I put the gel in silicone large cupcake/muffin mold and freeze overnight then pop them out and put in freezer bags. One or two of these is enough for pre-poo treatment once every 7-10days. It completely detangles my now midback length hair. I also freeze the pulp in the same way. This works great for my normally dry skin and hair.
The clarity of usage is greatly appreciated. Awesome video.
I love the way you used your nail to separate the aloe from the skin! So smart and I've never seen this done. I seem to make a mess with my knife trying to do this. Thank you!
@denisesmith6885
Жыл бұрын
Too messy for me. I put the aloe chunks in a fine screen strainer over a large measuring cup. I use a small paring knife that works great to quickly remove the pulp then use a spoon to scape a couple of times to make sure I get all the aloe off. Then I rub the small amount of gel on my hands onto my hair.
Very very cool and easy process. I’m definitely going to try this. Thank you.
Loved this! Was looking for a zero-waste hair gel alternative and this seems to work great!
I love how you used the tights as a strainer . Very efficient ! I’m making this gel tonight !
Thank you for posting this! I followed the video with some water, mine made less but my leaves are smaller. I added two tablespoons organic coconut oil, 6 drops wild orange essential oil, 4 drops peppermint oil and whisked it in the jar. I use it on my skin after shower/bath and it’s not sticky or greasy. Lightweight, moisturizing and smells amazing! I’m hooked on aloe vera!

I don't like to waste my aloe, so I have been putting my aloe in an ice tray and freezing it into cubes. That way it lasts a bit longer. Then when I make my aloe sprits, I can take 1-2 cubes out at a time and add them to the spray I make. I add oils to it and some distilled water, and it's ready to go. I do use an antimicrobial in it as well to give it a shelf life. If I use it daily, I tend to make it every week. It works great, and my hair smells great. I like using it between washes.

Wow, I had no idea all these comments were here waiting for me. Here's the answers: I picked up a the antimicrobial on amazon, brand Wild Herb, Luecidal SF Liquid. The oils I use are; Castor oil, collagen serum, argan oil, Hyaluronic Acid serum, peppermint oil, Tea tree oil, 12,000IU vitamin E oil. I also add 2tbsp of Cantu leave in conditioner.
The pulp that is leftover in the nylon I use like a tea bag soak in water...not hot, and let soak. I then use on my plants or new cuttings. I don't have nails so I found what works really well is a small cookie dough scoop or fruit scooper (makes like watermelon balls etc.)
Really great. I haven't tried it yet but my daughter has and she loves it. Loved and Subbed.
The best method is have found for getting the Aloe out of the leaf after u have taken off the sides 1- use a knife to peel off the top surface of the leaf by gliding the knife just under the surface. 2- use a spoon to scoop the gel off of the remaining surface. You can go back and scoop of any little on the first side if you want. It is quicker and less messier.

Love the video how concise your instructions are! I know there are various species of aloe plants. I have a huge plant that I have kept for several years but am not sure of the variety. The leaves of my plant look similar to the leaf you are using but is a bit rounder and fuller. Is it okay to use?

careful with the dilution of peppermint oil, as it can burn the skin. Check the % recommended first. It is the vitamin E (or C) which helps keeping the product longer, the essential oils are more for extra healing and scent purpose; saying this as I did an aromatherapy course and this infos was shared on the first day
