Meet Dan:
Dan is a 50 year old homeless man who has been arrested by the same cop 4 times. He is trespassed from many streets in Clearwater; which makes it difficult for him to find a place to sleep at night.
He even was upset that he had to leave jail since at least in jail he has a roof over his head and 3 consistent meals a day.
Dan has showed ambition in wanting to work at either a car dealership again or in a job dealing with painting. However, he no longer has access to any friends, family, or work numbers being that he doesnt have a phone.
Given Dan’s current situation, it’s apparent that it would be a real struggle for him to get hired again; being that he also only has 1 pair of clothes currently. That was the case before we met him…
We provided Dan with 2 pars of shirts and 2 pairs of shorts so he has more access to clean clothes, and can put his best foot forward when looking for a job. We also provided him a new pillow to help out a little with his current sleeping situation.

About Erichelps:
Hello! My name is Eric Wagner, and I have a passion for learning about what the homeless/people in need have gone through in life to end up in their current situation. Alongside this, I want to help them in the best way possible, or connect them to the correct resources to improve their quality of life. I believe that everyone can be helped in one way or another; no matter how big or small.
Homelessness is a complicated social issue that is commonly misunderstood and/or ignored by the general public. Within these videos, I plan to showcase that not all people in need share the same story. I want to highlight both the good and the bad that these people have gone through, and keep the conversations as authentic as possible. There are many ways to help these people at the stage that they are at, but the first step is to try and have a conversation with them.
Whether your help is a conversation, an act of service, a monetary donation, or a simple change in your thinking towards those in need, this impacts people in ways you might not even imagine. My mission is to bring these stories and conversations to a mass audience that is influenced enough to make even the slightest bit of change in how they treat those that we pass everyday on your local street. While the root cause of homelessness still needs much more attention put forth into it, the first step is to try and understand what people have been through.
