Homeless Man Framed By Crooked Cop Sentenced To 25 Years

Ex-Houston police officer Gerald Goines said homeless man Frederick Jeffery owned a cellphone connected to an important drug bust, causing him to be sentenced to prison for 25 years. He served 6 years before he was set free. Jeffery served 6 years of the sentence before he was freed. Dr. Rashad Richey and Adrienne Lawrence discuss on Indisputable. Tell us what you think in the comments below.

"A Texas man is now free after spending almost six years behind bars based on the untruthful testimony of a crooked cop. The then-respected officer lied when he said the homeless man owned a cellphone connected to an important drug bust, an assertion that led to the man being convicted on drug charges and sentenced to almost three decades in prison.
On Friday, July 22, Frederick Jeffery walked out of prison as a free man, after the previous day an investigation determined disgraced ex-Houston police officer Gerald Goines fabricated a story that placed Jeffrey, then a homeless Black man with a lengthy drug addiction history, in the middle of a case he was working on, KHOU 11 reports."

This cop should never see the light of day again!!! A year for a year. These aren’t cops. They’re a violent gang, an organized crime syndicate and they need to be treated as such!!!

I had never had a problem with the police except a few traffic tickets until I became homeless. It included having the only time a gun being pointed at my head for sleeping in my truck because they thought I was trying to steal it. I've been ticketed for stupid nonsense because I couldn't walk straight and they thought I was drunk but didn't take the time to figure out I was handicapped, which is why I couldn't find work. I got manhandled, dragged through the gravel, and handcuffed a couple of times, all because I was minding my own business. One time the handcuffs caused nerve damage to my left hand that took weeks to heal. I've been treated worse by the cops than the crooks. I'm on SSI now and live in a handicap facility, but once I had a home invasion. It just turned out to be a mental patient, but I kept calling and calling the police and it took them and hour and a half to get here. I live in Dayton, Ohio. The police here are bullies and pretty much useless.

Every time a cop gets caught being dirty, they need to be fired first, invesigated (including every past arrest), and pension lost, at the bare minimum. Police have such power to potentially ruin anyone’s life with so little effort, the punishment needs to be greater for abusing that power.

I was a youth, first time I ran into a crooked cop was when I was pulled over for speeding ( I wasn’t), a few weeks later I spoke with a friend who played hockey with cop… the cop was bragging about giving me a ticket for not liking me due to loud car ( mustang) when I drove by his house, as he lived on next street . He bragged about not seeing me doing anything wrong, so he just wrote me a ticket for being “ likely guilty of something “. The next time was when police arrested my friend for having a back pack with drugs in it. The bag was in middle of the road but police claimed my friend had it on, which he didn’t and I was subpoenaed to testify for defence. He was found guilty because cops are honest and don’t lie, according to courts.
