UPDATE: Army Vet Gets $1.5M After Cops Ambushed Him

Jaleel Stallings accepted a $1.5 million-plus costs and attorney fees settlement from the city of Minneapolis after an investigation confirmed that officers ambushed him and beat him for up. Dr. Rashad Richey and Kyla Frank discuss on Indisputable. Tell us what you think in the comments below.
Read more here: atlantablackst...
"The city of Minneapolis has settled a case for over $1 million with an Army veteran who filed a lawsuit against the municipality and its employees after his civil rights were violated.
He sued the city after he was acquitted of shooting at law enforcement on the grounds of self-defense, and says the lawsuit was never about “a check,” but “justice and accountability.'"

It also amazes me that even when there’s a settlement that large, which clearly means the officers were wrong, they still hold to the story that they did their job correctly. And that they’re the victims.

Yeah actually we were held to a higher standard. We were charged with UCMJ and had SOPs. I couldn't even raise my rifle in a threatening way without it being extremely scrutinized. I saw people lose rank for negligent discharges, and I saw fellow soldiers get kicked out and jailed for getting into fights with nationals. We actually got in trouble when we did wrong and knew we had real life consequences that followed us forever if we did something wrong. A dishonorable discharge is like a felony, and you also get felonies. Cops are sovereign citizens.

Im a white boy, in fact im a Hillbilly from the Appalachian mountains of Tennessee, you might think i would be on the side of the cops, but you would be wrong, where i come from, we dont care for the police, on more than one occasion, we have opened fire on the police, because, they came up.the holler, thinking they were going to arrest one of my relatives for a crime he did not commit, they came for my cousin because the corrupt sheriff of the county i am from was intent on putting my cousin in prison for anything because, the sheriffs criminal son was infatuated with my cousins wife, and was constantly harassing her, because they worked at the same business, she didnt want anything to do with him, but he was not concerned with that, so he and his dad began to harass my cousin, and when the sheriff brought 4 carloads of deputies up Buck Mountain to arrest my cousin for a robbery that was commited in town and it was stated by an "EYE WITNESS" that it was my cousin they saw, and his truck they saw leave the scene. My family had already heard what was planned and they prepared for it, now i was very young at the time, maybe 7 or 8, so i didnt get to participate, but i know this for a fact, as the cruisers came up our driveway, some of my relatives opened fire and shot the lights on the top out, the cops sped up to my grandparents house and jumped out guns in hand until they realized nearly every member of my family was facing them with rifle and shotgun, loaded and aimed. So the sheriff began to talk on his loudspeaker saying he fidnt want anyone to get killed, and my cousin just needed to come out with his hands up and let them arrest him. Now this part i saw and heard, My grandfather, walked out from the barnwhere he had been and went up to the sheriff and they began ho talk, the sheriff told my grandfather that he knew my cousin had done it because he had eyewitnesses that said it was him and his truck that left the scene, my grandfather said and i quote George, how did he do that when he was here with us all night, his truck bever left this holler. You may be the sheriff, but my family has been in this county since it was founded, and people know that we dont do things like that, and they know that when i say something you can take it to the bank. So i going to say something to you, right then my grandfather pulled his Smith& Wesson .45 from his bib overalls, stuck it in the sheriffs belly and said, if you think you can take the boy, go on and try, but before that hapoens im going to put a hole through you that youll be able to see daylight in, no matter what hapoens after that, you die first. Im sure most people who read this will think it a tall tale, but i told it as the gospel truth the way it happened. The sheriff stood there for a minute, then told his deputies to load up and get back to the jail.

If a million dollars per citizen was what the city had to pay for each cop’s use of abuse of power against us, they’d do a better job of vetting these officers before hiring them.

I am ashamed of these cops! They conducted a drive by shooting with 40mm rubber bullets! Then the have the audacity to arrest and use excessive force against this man! The only thing I would want to see happen is the 1.5 million to come out of the cops pockets!
