I met Sandy after a show of his in ‘14. I mentioned that I make raps too (didn’t mean to go there, but it slipped out). He instantly got interested in what I was saying, to the point that I thought he must be messing with me. But no, he actually gave me his gmail address and said “If you send me one, and only ONE song, I promise that I’ll listen to it”. And he did! I know because he responded and mentioned some of the lyrics specifically. It still blows my mind to think about. He absolutely did not need to pay any attention to me, let alone request to hear a track, but he did. Thank you for being soo dope and yet right down to earth, Homeboy 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 Respect for life

Had the privilege of opening for Sandman & Cunninlynguists in Louisville, KY in 2010. When I met HS he had headphones in and was in a zone, went straight to a table and was writing. Made me think “why am I drinkin & chillin right now?”

HOT DAMN! That freestyle was so effortlessly smooth and energetic from Boy Sand! Oh man! Why hasn’t he been back on here or any other big platform!?

I didn't know about Homeboy at the time but it was an incredible introduction to someone who is now in my top 5 favourite artists. I really appreciate how much growth he's put into his music and he keeps things fresh, lots of respect for the guy.

One of the absolute best of all time. Suuuuper underrated artist. and when I say artist I mean artist in every sense of the word.

Rap God. Pluralist. I have my 12 year old studying his rhymes and producers. The most concise abstractness possible.

I saw sandman open up for brother Ali a number of years ago. Hes an interesting guy. Beat of his own drum, that's for sure. No need to be mainstream to put out work. Respect.
