Other than a vintage shoe tree, do you have a brand of new shoe trees you would recommend?

A question to everyone: how do you cope with the fact that someone else’s feet with sweat and everything have lived inside the used shoes you just purchased? It’s one of the biggest no-no’s for me... But I can’t afford new Allen and Edmonds and I love to do these makeovers on my leather

@@valeriocesarini5661 I don't usually think about it but I sanitizer teh shoes with lysol wipes before using them
I just thrifted a pair of Allen Edmonds MacNeils in shell cordovan that look very similar to those for $60. They didn’t look too great at first but the soles still had a bit of life and there was no major damage on the uppers. I cleaned them up with some Saphir Reno’Mat, Renovateur, Cordovan cream, and finally mirror gloss and they look amazing! One of the best purchases I’ve ever made.

That’s an awesome find! Great work!
Whenever I see your work, Its like a skillful artist drawing in a canvas. The usage of the shoe cream colors is impeccable resulting in an awesome finish. Keep up the good work and have the best day.
I have been shining shoes since I was 9 years old, and going around all the pool halls, mafia clubs, and Board Walk in Coney Island in Brooklyn, New York. I gave all my earnings to my Mom, because we were poor. I am so happy for these videos.
the shoes went from grandpas ol pair to gangster at the end, love that color

They look like pimp shoes. Crap.
They look really great 👌🏻 shining my boots in the military was a daily ordeal but it was almost like meditation. Focused on the task thinking about nothing else.
Why am I hooked on to your videos? Seriously why. I only have one pair of tan fancy dress shoes which need restoring but so far I have watched close to 10 of you videos in two days. Something about them is addictive.
My man just casually flexing that ring 😂👍👊 Killer work on the shoes brother!

David LaMattina help me out, I couldn’t make out the ring insignia. I know a group of gentlemen who dress well and often wear rings, but it didn’t look like one of those to me from the glances I was able to get. What was it?

It’s always amazing to see such a transformation from old and worn to looking nearly new.
Fantastic results. It is a pleasure to watch a person combine artistry and skill to create a beautiful work of art. The passion and dedication you apply to your craft "shines" through in every pair of shoes your hands touch.
Please get a bigger SD card! We need full dyeing tutorials. I’ve already done one Patina job but need to see some of your methods from start to finish. Looks great!

These turned out extraordinary! I'd have to be reminded to pull these off before bed.
nice work. multicolor shines are not my personal thing, but I can see why some people like it. You know, I get why you like bringing things like this back to beauty. When I restore anything, a lighter, a piece of silver, whatever I may be doing, I know the satisfaction you get when something is done and brought back. Unfortunately, I'll wager there are a lot of people these days that don't know that kind of satisfaction. They don't get it. Keep on doing your thing. Watching it is almost as good as doing it in some ways, I find it relaxing.
You are a real craftsman. The care and respect you have for your work really shows. Thank you for those beautiful videos.

You turned those shoes into works of art. I'm amazed and inspired.
You're like the Bob Ross of shoe shines and restorations bro. I watch your videos to learn some new techniques, or when I wanna wind down, and fall asleep. Keep up the great work.
Preston, thank you so much, you have enlightened me to so many real applications... I am forever grateful for you sharing your knowledge with all of us.
This video really is extra-splendid, and the repairer has a very large skill, I feel. One day I wish to be first-class English gentleman, and this is the shoe I must wear

That pair is american through and through. English pairs are much clean looking, not too much going on, on the upper. Sole is different story, english shoes tend to have chunky, grippy soles maybe due to rain they receive in england.
Preston what a amazing transformation on this pair of shoes. Your work is getting better and better. It was a pleasure watching this video.
so talented! I would really love to learn to do this. I shine my husband's shoes and it is so zen. I just love doing it, though it is just a simple shine, nothing artistic and definitely not the mirror shine lol.
Bellissimo, you always give the shoes you work on their class and awesomeness back . Keep up the videos 😊
Love the live commentary, gives a much more in-depth procedure 👏🏼
I’ve been blending colors for about 40 years but was always too conservative to take it to the artistic level you do. What a wonderful look you get by blending and working with the obvious transition areas. Thank you. I hope a lot of young men and women watch these videos at some point and learn to not only take care of their shoes but also become creative with the options available.
I like the graceful way that you handle your hands. It's not just shining shoes etiquettes as well
I am glad that I found your channel. I got inspired from your work and i saved my old Red Chief leather shoe which had lost color. It feels damn good to have restored them to old glory 😀
Preston you are an artist. That was a total transformation.
So classic. Yet again, what an amazing transformation you did on these
True artistry...a real pleasure to watch!!!
Wow unbelievable transformation! It would be really cool to see the owners reaction on your work. If somebody was willing! Great job.

Impressive transformation Preston as always!!!
Your videos are amazing- I have learned so much! Am hoping to score a pair of 11s at my local thrift to restore for my son, who really needs a classy pair of sharp shoes! Thanks so much!
That multi-ringed, waterstained wooden table is essential to your channel. Now, whenever I see a round water stain, I think about your channel and shining my shoes. Damn you and Thank you for instilling this weird phenomenon into me, albeit indirectly.
Amazing work! Thanks for the knowledge. Just one quick note, if I may: Médaille d"Or is pronounced kind of like MED eye door, with the accent on med, and door with the r rolled on the back of the palate instead of curling the tongue at the front. If that makes sense...
okay but i LOVE the way you record your audio now it feels a lot more personal and those look so good !!!!
Spectacular!
Wow!Just beautiful.
Just incredible Preston!
Really looking forward to getting back to the States and find me some shoe's at a thrift store.

Love this style and color and what I bought back in the day. Mine were dirt cheap from Irv's Clothing in Chicago. The red would wear off on my socks or clothes.
