Yeah but he has the upper body strenght to compensate for lack of form and knowhow. I kinda expected the cut with the wooden sword to get through a lot further but it looks like his edge alignment wasn't great in that cut which is fair as he lacks practice but just imagine that cut with a bit better edge alignment.

Probably my favorate episode..When he sliced off a slab of the balistic gelatin picked it up and took a bite out of it I was cracking up..thinking this dude is alright man..and the wooden sword was pretty cool also!

When I was in middle school in the 1970's us boys were set the task in woodwork of making an ornamental wooden sword. I was the only one who put a sharp edge on it, until the teacher spotted it & rounded it off. Said it could cut bacon!

In regards to wooden blade weaponry, I suggest you look at the Polynesian weapons. They usually added other things to the edge like teeth, bone, rocks and glass etc. Still not as good as steel but far less recorce intensive and great for a fun diy projects (for non combat purposes only ofcorse) As for the shape I would suggest trying an edge angled paddle with thick notches cut into it to make an edge like a rectangle blade with little squares cut out of the edge. It may not work at all but I feel like that design would be good at rend/tearing on a strike.

It's for gaining strength when punching stabbing slicing etc. I recommend doing this because I've realised that you do kind of get " stronger ". You can too just exhale but when you scream of something like that it intimidates the enemy maybr too
