Same. My entire family has that kind of humor, so it feels very familiar to me. There's a bit of darkness in there, but nothing mean-spirited. I find his deadpan delivery hilarious, as well.

That's why I enjoy The Avid Indoorsman podcast so much. When Tim, and the other guys are guests, they let loose a bit. Adam Rupp was quite talkative on this week's pod about "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade".

Remember, guys… you saw a live concert. After years of perfecting a show. ZSome of these earlier ‘skits’ were -especially this one -Patreon parties and early fans who traveled everywhere to see them! Fun, laughter, silliness, banter… they’re a different vibe!

I love Adam's feature at the end, but "Barbershop as a Woman" was impressive. Also, they now use a digital pitch in their in-ears instead of the pipe that Chris was using. (Someone asked at a Q&A I was at.)

Home Free is my favorite group and they are very funny. Tim's low bass voice and his high voice to. Austin's high tenor. Again they are funny. Chris is great with this. Adam is great beatboxer. 😊❤❤❤❤❤❤

This was filmed at a Patreon party that they had the night after the whole Tim kissing Chris on stage "event". This was one of Chris' last performances with the guys and it was for all the Patreons that could attend. They also performed with their former tenor, Matt Attwood at this show. I heard somewhere that someone within the management part of the group disliked the skits and had the guys stop doing them. Personally, I liked the skits because there was a little more interaction with the audience at those moments when you could see their personalities shine through. More of the type of stuff that can be seen in the behind the scenes. That little glimpse into their personalities seemed to make the affection from fans even stronger. Though for the guys, it may have been tiresome and it did make them come off as silly jokers. They still do, it's just not always visible at the shows. During this party, they were auctioning off items from shows or videos so they were passing notes to the guys about announcements and such. And yes, Satch is visible in another video from a different angle. You can see him peeking out from behind the curtains with I think Buegs, who was the official Satch babysitter that night I think.

Sometimes it's the reactors that makes them more entertaining and fun. I can set for hours and watch reactors reacting to HF songs and I have. I love you guys. However, I just went to one of HF's concerts at the Ameristar Casino 4/27/24 and Tim had to invite everyone in the back to come and stand at the stage. This was about mid-way into the concert. My husband bought on my request the best seats he could buy. We got the front row, middle section and the two middle seats. We paid $240.80 per ticket so a total of 481.60. We had great seats until Tim invited people to come down to the front and stand RIGHT IN FRONT OF US!! I have vertigo, a broken back and several other health problems and so does my husband. We need to set because neither one of us can stand very long. All I saw for the second half of the concert were big butts in my face! I couldn't see anything. I will never go to another concert put on by them again. I have been to 3 of their concerts and they are all the same pretty much but they didn't invite people to come and stand in the front!. I never had to set and stare at really big butts of people that paid very little for their tickets until this concert. I love these guys and I used to tell everybody about them but not so much anymore. I still love watching you guys though. Thank you for your reactions. I know there is a lot of hard work that goes into your videos and I do appreciate it. I tell people about you guys too!

It’s a pitch pipe and that was the old fashioned way of making sure they all start on the same pitch. Now they have a click track and pitch in their holdback. Satch is there with the lady behind the curtain. There’s another version from the other side of the stage, Adam’s, side, where you can see him. That one cuts off the final surf song though.

I loved when they used to cut up and interact with the audience in a fun way. And you’re right about Tim ragging on people. The one thing I didn’t enjoy when I saw them is that, even though he knows there are kids in the audience, Tim will swear. I personally think it’s unbecoming of the group, even when only one member does it. Not every household in America tolerates it. I’m not hating on Tim, I’ve just gotten old enough to feel like he should be more respectful. Chalk it up to a day of aches and pains. Happy Home FrYday! 🎶 Cyd

Swearing in public is even less common in the UK but Tim got the opposite idea while they were here. It was embarrassing. He also annoyed people with jibes at Britain's war effort. We lost thousands of lives in bombing raids

Despite any difficulties with the audio/video of the device, their energy & the audience's enthusiasm more than make up for it. Wouldn't have been Amberly - Austin was still with his former g/f at the time. Thanks for playing this & your comments.

Funny how performance styles change over the years. I guess this was from the early days when they didn't have quite as much recorded content to draw from. And I think (from being involved in some) that acapella groups tend to think they need to add a lot of extra stuff and humor to keep the audience engaged. Pretty sure they got some of their stuff they used, like the Safaris song, from the Blenders. :)

It's a great video for sure. It was a pitch pipe that Chris used. He actually gave one to Chance when he took over. It was way before Amberly and Sami. I can't remember who it was back there looking. When my husband and I meet them Rob was the very first person that talked to us. He was the sweetest guy. Then Tim saw us and he came over and started asking us (well me) questions. Anyway sorry that you didn't feel the videos today Jillian. I enjoy watching your reactions to their videos.

I think they still have a pitch pipe. In the video for White Christmas you can actually see Chris gift to Chance is the pitch pipe. And Chance is the one who uses it when needed. And that was before Amberly und during Olena I always feel a bit sorry when they do the high barbershop part. Being a low voiced singer myself just the idea of having to force myself up there hurts

Oh forgot to say, they used to do the pitch pipe all the time. Chris was always in charge of it possibly because he knew how to use it. When he left, the running joke was that he passed it on to Chance, who had no idea how to use it! You can see him gifting it to Chance in the video for "White Christmas" and then you can see Chance attempt to use it in the video for "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer" They now have a pitch and count down sound in their ear pieces. There have been times when the system didn't work and Tim commented that they may not sound as good without it. LOL

Also, I actually never noticed the person back there until you pointed it out. That is weird, but I'm sure some Home Fry must have been there and maybe knows more about that. Thanks for your comments! PS I love Adam in this one, too!

From another recorded version, there was a note about something going on off-stage that they needed to get word out about a change quickly. (HF had a silent auction going on, and for one reason or another the time was being extended to place bids on the items). Austin reads the note out loud during what was cut out of this version.

Guys, yer just late gettin' here!!! Sorry! : ) It's all good. Gotta kinda drop back in time ..... and forget what you know and have learned. When this was made available, not much was to be had -- YT wise with HF. This "skit" was showing versatility in abilities and sound, ex., Tim's high ladies barborshop? In yall's interview - believe it was Austin mentioned ...Tim was probably the (or one of) highest voice in the group.... it showed here. Where each can "move" when a voice goes to this (high/low) way and how they can fill seamlessly. Impressive. Relationships of the time (then) do not reflect on current standings : ) Be Safe
