Adam Bell-Bastien was one of the tenors that subbed in for Matt Atwood in Home Free around 2009-2012 before Austin came on board. He was also one of several considered for that spot at the time. So he has history with pre-singoff Home Free. Then he was part of Chris Rupps group 7th Ave from 2016/2020. Many Home Fries are familiar with him from 7th Ave.
Brandon, this is one of Tim's very best... a very underappreciated songwriter
This is such a beautiful original song from Tim. He is a wonderful songwriter. This song was originally on Tim's solo album before joining Home Free called "The Best That I Could Do". Nice to see it redone with Home Free. Love Adam's percussion!

Yeah...I feel the same way about the "new Austin." He might work out fine, but he's not MY Austin.
They really stepped it up artistically with their interpretation with the fresh take with their sentimental scenes in this video production. They also, made significant enhancements in their vocals that set them apart from their original release. As some have indicated they set the bar higher with each release against their own performances. They already are elite and they never settle. Their ability to assess themselves with increased performance values is impeccable and a very unique gift in this production/performance that keeps the freshness for us the audience in awe. ❣

Does it count as a cover when it was written by a current member before he joined Home Free? Who knows, but it is one beautiful song. Tim is not only a fantastic singer but an amazing songwriter as well. Austin will be missed.... But I'm sure Adam Bell-Bastien (I call him Adam the Third but officially they call him Bastien) will fit right in. Bastien was a member of the 7thAve Band with Chris Rupp, Tristin Rupp (sister of Chris and Adam Rupp) and another woman I can't remember the name of. And he is only a newish member as he's been part of Home Free some years before the sing-off.
It will be fine. It isn't like he's actually that new. LoL. Adam has a beautiful voice, with quite a range, is a songwriter, has a great personality and sense of humor. (He's tall and pretty also so that helps : ). This is an original.

He has sung with Home Free in the past. He also sang in the group 7th Ave with Chris Rupp and Chris's sister Tristan. You find 7th Ave here on KZread. He has a beautiful voice I'm sure he'll be great. This is not a cover Tim wrote it and it's on his solo album The Best That I Can Do. I love the way this video so much. Austin will be in any video from this album. Thanks for your reaction to this song.

Chris was a part of Home Free and the founder.
They have a new video releasing soon and recorded 2 more this past weekend which will be the last ones with Austin. Austin will be leaving by the end of July and Adam Bastien will be doing his first concert with Home Free at The Grand Ol Opry on July 31.

@@lynnramsay8821 by the way those 3 videos can't be Austin's last they still have a few songs from crazier life that don't have a video yet, unless there hasn't been any mention if there's going to be videos for those songs.

@@sarahc2401 I just reread their new messages and that’s what they said They are releasing a new video next week and filming the last 2 with Austin last weekend. Maybe they already did some and haven’t released them yet.

Although I'm sure Adam Bastien will be a great addition to the band, Austin's gonna be a tough act to follow. I'll be watching Austin & Amberly on their channels & wish both of them all the best in the world. Tim co-wrote "I've Seen" - he's such a talented singer/songwriter/musician (he often plays piano on his channel). Of course, the singing, harmonies & beatboxing are terrific - they always are.
