Members of Home Free: Austin Brown--High Tenor. Won a full scholarship in musical theater. From south Georgia. You saw the interior of his house when he was singing Bring Him Home. He lives in Nashville. Tim Foust--Bass. He has a five-octave range. He can sing bass, baritone, and tenor. He is from southeast Texas. He lives in Nashville. Rob Lundquist--Lead Tenor. Rob is the guy with the beard and glasses. He has a music degree from the University of Minnesota. He is operatically trained. His professors encouraged him to have a career in opera, but he chose another career path. He is from Minneapolis. He still lives in Minnesota. Adam Rupp--Beatboxer. He is a tenor. He can play several musical instruments. He has a degree in music. He with his older brother Chris and Adam's best friend, Matt Atwood, started Home Free in 2001. Adam and Matt were teenagers. Matt resigned from the music business to join his family's business and start his own family years later. Austin replaced Matt after he quit. Adam is from Minneapolis and still lives there. Chris Rupp--Baritone. He usually wears a hat. He quit Home Free to do his own individual projects. He sings in another acapella group which includes his and Adam's sister Tristian. Their acapella group also tours in Europe, usually in churches. He has his own KZread channel. Adam Chance--Bass/Baritone. He is called Chance, to prevent confusion with Adam Rupp. He has a four-octave range. He can play the guitar. He was evidently recruited by Chris Rupp to replace himself when he quit Home Free.. Before Home Free, Chance was the bass for Street Corner Symphony, another acapella group. Chance has a degree in creative writing. He is from Alabama. He lives in Los Angeles.

Chris did not recruit Chance. I'm not sure how this idea got about. Chris stated in an interview with Qofy that he had nothing to do with it, that Chance was Tim's friend, not his, and he hardly knew Chance. The band certainly didn't ask his permission, another story that does the rounds.

@@patriciamcl54 The acapella world is small and people know each other by reputation if not personally. Chance was recruited to appear on the second season of The Sing-Off for Street Corner Symphony. Street Corner Symphony had just won a place on the competition show, when the group lost its bass. The group originally tried to recruit Tim with the promise of an appearance on national television. Tim turned their offer down since he had decided at that time to quit his musical career,, especially performing in acapella.groups. Desperate, the group recruited Chance who had gone to college with a member of the group to be their bass. It was Chance's introduction to the acapella world. Street Corner Symphony was the first place runner up of the competition. Chance remained with Street Corner Symphony professionally until he joined Home Free. There are videos of Chance being with Home Free when Chris was still a member. On Chris' channel, there is a Christmas video of Chris singing lead in What Child is This featuring Home Free with Chance. Chris' departure from Home Free was an emotional time for them all when he left. Tim gave a heartfelt, almost tearful, tribute to him at his last performance. To show a few of the connections within the acapella world, Chance was a friend of Tim's wife before Tim knew her. Chance and Peter Hollens knew each other from the second season of The Sing-Off when they were in competing groups. Tim knew Peter Hollens when they in the same acapella group. Further proof of the close knit acapella world is the temporary duplicate Home Free group. Chris and Home Free recruited former members of Home Free to form a secondary Home Free. The former members knew Home Free's act.so they could fulfill Home Free's obligations, while Home Free performed on The Sing-Off. Home Free had had numerous members in the past since Chris and Adam Rupp and Adam's friend Matt Atwood had formed the group. All of the guys had a blast as the present Home Free taught the former member their parts. The second Home Free performed at all of Home Free's required events. As Chris said, there were no complaints about the second Home Free's performance. It is doubtful that anyone realized that the second Home Free was not the same Home Free on the competition show.

You're right again. Everybody should know Home Free! Reactors like you are valuable to so many artists. Adam Rupp (beatboxer) changes his hair because he cycles between letting it grow long to cutting it for donation to cancer victims. Just another sign that Home Free has a big heart. Tim's hair changed during lockdown when he cut it short and let that gorgeous silver streak show. This mashup is amazing -- lots of interweaving of chords, lyrics, melodies, low notes and highs!

Yeah like 15 or 17 songs in this medley. Such a good one. Chris ( wearing the cowboy hat)left in 2016 and was replaced by Chance. The only other changes have been their hair. Adam (beatboxer) either has short or long hair. He grows his hair out to donate it to kids with cancer. Austin’s has been short or long. Lately it’s been the longest it’s ever been in recent videos. Tim couldn’t get to a hairdresser during Covid so he let his gray hair come in and cut it short. Beards come and go too. Only Rob looks the same. Good one Saeed! 😍😃

It's time, I think, you checked out the Stargazer trilogy, three songs written by Austin and arranged into a story with beautiful videos, and Save the World, something of a departure for the band (musical instruments involved!) but very moving.

The way they blend the songs together this song is seamless!! And it’s so much fun! I love the rooster being pulled out of his pocket and everybody looking over their shoulders at it!! Here’s a home Fries long that is a point very often but it’s fun “ diamond dreams” everyone with high hopes and living in an apartment complex together… Making the best of living in the same boat! Another fun matchup is fishing in the dark/boondocks! They opened up the early concerts with boondocks and 7 Bridges Rd. and by the end they ended with god bless the USA! They have put out so much content that sometimes you need to revisit the great songs that they have put up earlier! Nice reaction

Look up Adam solo beatboxing, it’s really old but WOW he has skills including being able to replicate the sound of a didgeridoo, Australian Aboriginal instrument. The dangling chicken is in a lot of their old videos, was a bit of a joke. 😂😂

He changes hair because he lets it grow out then chips it off and donates it to help cancer patients.

You talk about Adam and his hair. I understand it changes it beause he donates his hair when it gets long enough to be made into a wig for aner patients. ps: he is also a dungeons and dragons master player too.
