Home & Family - KISS Frontman Paul Stanley on his Rock & Roll Stardom

Ойын-сауық

KISS frontman Paul Stanley opens up on his path to rock and roll immortality. Paul candidly talks about defying the odds and overcoming a rocky family life as well as birth defect that left him deaf in one ear. Paul also talks about his new memoir, 'Face the Music,' as well as the induction of KISS into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

paul stanley is so cool. I remember buying his solo album back in the 70s.I was around 10 years old.I just thought he was hot with his make up, and the star on his eye.I would dance to his music.lol... but anyway I just want to say paul didn't let his ear stop him from fulfilling his dream of becoming a rock star. good job....

Paul Stanley: the only reason KISS still exists. Look at their albums without make up. Paul had the songs, the drive, the passion. If he never pushed or cared they would have died in the 80's/90's.

Perhaps one of the best mannered rockers. Always carefully thinks before he speaks plus does his best to honor every question. It's so neat hearing their thoughts away from the stage. I began to see the real Paul during the convention interviews. He knows that the fans matter not the criticism from writers.

A great book. Recommended. I know a couple of people who met him in the early 80's and they said he was a complete a-hole - one even called him that to his face. Read the book and I understand why he was that way. He dug deep and really worked on himself. Of all the books by each member, his is head and shoulders above the rest.

Love these guys. Though the original members may have their differences and even bash one another, I love what is/was KISS. I also enjoy the positive, kind comments here for Paul. So many vids have bitter folks saying terrible things about the members, but these comments are refreshing. These men started with nothing and built a musical empire from hard work, fun, energy, and great R'n'R music.

I've read all their biographies as of now, and it wasn't difficult to pick a "side"...it was/is clearly with Paul. Although I enjoyed Ace and Peter's books (Peter's especially), as entertaining as they were, I ended with having virtually no respect for either one of them (Kiss was my first official "favorite group" as a kid, so I've been a long-time fan). Gene was an easy second choice, but I prefer Paul's personality and attitude over Gene's if for no other reason than resonating much more with Paul's extremely likable disposition. Paul may be my all-time favorite interview subject. He has about the best skill set ever for answering questions. If you haven't seen his "Raw" interview somewhere on YT, check it out. He has mad verbal skills, and it's fun and fascinating to watch him perfect his answers in real time. Cheers.
