I really like watches and I spent my money on Japanese brands that don't deliver products with good quality in my opinion, watches with mineral glass, pressed steel bracelets etc... I ended up finding quality and price in Chinese watches and I don't care if they are copies because it's just a hobby! Congratulations on the video and a hug from Brazil.

I hear the term fake and that used to mean terrible quality and it fell apart after 5 minutes and looked awful. These days you need an expert with a microscope to tell the difference between a £100 watch and a watch worth £7000.

Have had the black v3 for over a year now. Actually it is a no brainer for the price. Instantly swapped the strap for a mat black leather one. It looks fantastic and it holds time perfectly. Only thing is lume, but to be honest at night I look at the clock beside my bed. If you can get it in the sales then just go for it.

Does anyone know of any inexpensive watches with a 28,800 bph movement? Dive, field, and pilot/flieger are my usual preferences, but I'm open to anything. That and an NH34 GMT watch are what I am looking to pick up. Or a black panda 1963 or other ST19 chronograph without the red star or Chinese lettering on the dial.

I like San Martin, Sugess/Seestern, Baltany and Steeldive. The Steeldive SD1970 and SD1953 are the value kings! Boderry are also decent. I stay away from PD as the quality is iffy. I’ll probably try Rmalti next with one of their MM200R homages.

@@sinjinadams2862 I'd get something like the L6005 if something like that homaged the Sub 126610 instead of the 116610, as I am not a fan of the thick maxi lugs. I REALLY like the Steeldive SD1953 (as that homages the 126610). I wish Chronos would do a version of that (keep 20mm lug width), but make it thinner, and with a glidelock and PT5000. That would be awesome! Also I'd like them to match the bezel shade of green on San Martin's new SN017G-B as they really nail the cermit/starbucks green shade with that one.

I got 5 Pagani Design watches, all beautiful, the quality is easily at the level of my other 10 times more expensive watches. Also got two automatic Onola Richard Mille knock-offs, $40 each. By the weight you can actually confuse it with the real gold, not a single flaw, and level of detail in the dial easily exceeds a lot of way more expensive watches.

I’m very curious about the choice of homage over replica, is it for legal reasons or you just prefer it? I have a replica of the Omega Seamaster and it would take an expert with the back off to know the difference and you definitely cannot tell just from seeing it on someone’s wrist. I will never have £7000 for a watch let alone £700 plus even if I did I would be afraid of being mugged, even rich people don’t wear their Lv bags and Rolex’s out and about, it’s widely know they use fakes and keep the real thing locked away.

Hi, you are a competent and enthusiastic watch reviewer, however I have an issue with your camera technique. A) When your elbow is on the table and you hold the watch around your hand, such as at 0:32, 0:58 and 2:42 for example, movement of your hand makes the watch out of focus 90% of the time - very frustrating for me and I would think, everybody watching. B) When you rest your arm on the table, such as at 5:26 for example, the watch moves much less and we see it clearly. C) When you lay the watch flat on the table, such as at 7:42 for example, it does not move at all and we see it perfectly. So my advice would be to lose the A setup, and always use the B or C setup. Cheers, JFB.

For me, it has come to a point where these "knockoffs" are cheaper and higher quality than Seiko. I bought Baby Tuna and Turtle around 2017-2019 when Seiko had reasonable prices. Today, Seiko focus has gone to limited editions and 1000+ for anything that's not a copy/paste 5KX. I got a DressKX too (bought used for a bit over 100$), nice for what it is. But new is around 200$ with mineral crystal and stamped bracelet. So I rather get San Martin for 200$ with better quality, regulated, and design I happen to like. But I understand the stance on them being knockoffs. So I prefer if they mix the design up - take some parts from a few different watches and improve on something. 1:1 with a chinese logo is off putting.
