Holy Sexuality and the Gospel: Sex, Desire, and Relationships Shaped by God’s Grand Story with Dr. Christopher Yuan
In the midst of cultural confusion and controversy surrounding sex, sexuality, and gender, Dr. Christopher Yuan is a key resource for church leaders and parents as they navigate conversations and discipleship on these topics. In his books Out of a Far Country and Holy Sexuality and the Gospel, Dr. Yuan detailed his dramatic conversion from an agnostic gay man who put his identity in his sexuality to a Bible professor and now international speaker who puts his identity in Christ alone. And he just launched the Holy Sexuality Project, a video series designed to assist parents and grandparents as they disciple teens on sex, sexuality, and gender.
In this interview, we discussed his remarkable testimony, Biblical identity and sexuality in contrast to culture’s views on these topics, practical ideas and recommendations for parents and church leaders, and how Biblical views on identity and sexuality should translate into the public square.
Dr. Christopher Yuan has taught the Bible at Moody Bible Institute for twelve years and his speaking ministry on faith and sexuality has reached five continents. He speaks at conferences, on college campuses, and in churches. He has co-authored with his mother their memoir, Out of a Far Country: A Gay Son’s Journey to God, A Broken Mother’s Search for Hope (100,000 copies sold and now in seven languages). He is also the author of Giving a Voice to the Voiceless. Christopher graduated from Moody Bible Institute in 2005 and received a master’s in biblical exegesis in 2007 and a doctorate of ministry in 2014. Dr. Yuan’s newest book, Holy Sexuality and the Gospel: Sex, Desire, and Relationships Shaped by God’s Grand Story, was named 2020 Book of the Year for Social Issues by Outreach Magazine.

Also when you are just saying that this is not right or a sin just cause God said it and there is no sensible logic behind it then there no scope for a person to argue farther and simply say it doesn't make sense.
So ultimately if you have opposite sex attraction it's holy if it's monogamous but it's not holy if it's monogamous and same sex attraction ,on the top of that it's a sin. ... It's discrimination.... If a man lusts over his wife is not a sin but if a gay in a monogamous relationship and lust over his partner it's sin... So lust is sin unless you're in a monogamous opposite sex relationship.... It doesn't make sense if lust is sin then it should be for everyone... And if you say because heterosexual couple can reproduce it is justified then ban condoms cause anything outside procreative sex would be sinful that's lust... But no as long as it's a heterosexual couple sex is enhancing their relationship , it's holy, it's more than lust but if it's a homosexual couple it's only lust nothing more to it.... And all these declared by god and guess what god did not gave supporting statement it's like I'm god i said so and you have to follow it cause I'm god.... I personally do not want to follow this kind of god who will dictate me what to do rather that give me solid reason why i should do it.... I cannot believe in a narrow minded god. And we all know the reality of heterosexual marriage also... Divorce is a reality and that proves that what you think as a holy sexuality (1 man 1woman) collapse horribly sometime ❤🙏🏻.
And also stop reducing gay couples relationship to only sex temptation and lust. Obviously these are there but there is much more to a relationship like any other heterosexual relationship.
